Ordered the polla la brasa, fries and salad. The most undercooked underseasoned pollo la brasa I ever had. Even the fries were undercooked. We had to stick everything in the oven just to eat it. Do yourself a favor and go to El Chevere in Passaic, NJ if you want pollo la brasa. I can’t speak on their other dishes.

First time coming here by chance and we are happy we did! Food was great and service was awesome! We had the Ceviche Mixto which was delish! Had plenty of seafood and extras. We also had the Bistek Pobre and it was just as good. The beef was cooked as we liked and serving was plenty. We will definitely be back again!

So disappointed not sure if the chef is different, or new owners but the lomo saltado used to be excellent when it was la nueva hispana. Now it’s watery , and only a little bit of steak. Mediocre.

After spotting La Nueva Hispana Restaurant a couple of days ago, we couldn’t resist giving it a try.

The atmosphere was inviting, the food exceeded expectations, and the customer service was top-notch.

We had the Tallarines a la Huancaina with Lomo Saltado, as well as the Pollo Saltado, both of which were delicious.

Located conveniently in Woodland Park, we’ll definitely be returning.

Thank you for a fantastic experience!

I placed an order of the phone & asked the lady to please put little to no noodles in my chicken soup. When I got my order a lot was spilled over. It had way more noodles than anything else. The vegetables were straight out of a can. The chicken were like diced chicken breast or tenderloin breast?? The flavor was not horrible but definitely not what I expected nor asked for. The Papa a la Huacaina is bootleg as heck with no flavor.

I recently decided to try this new restaurant that offers Peruvian chicken, as my husband was eager to sample their new menu item. We placed an order for a whole chicken with rice and salad, along with ceviche and fries. When I went to pick up our order, I noticed another customer dining in who had ordered a quarter chicken.

Upon returning home and opening the box, I discovered that we had been given three chicken breasts and one thigh, instead of the expected two breasts and two thighs for a whole chicken. To make matters worse, the thigh was strategically placed over one of the breasts, making it appear at first glance that we had received the correct portions. It wasn’t until I removed the thigh that I realized the discrepancy.

I immediately called the restaurant to inform them of the mistake, and the response I received was disappointing. The staff member apologized and mentioned that they had run out of the correct portions and simply provided what was available. This felt like a deliberate attempt to mislead us. Furthermore, when I mentioned that another customer had received a thigh quarter, the staff member admitted that he had requested it, so they gave him the thigh from our whole chicken order.

This was particularly frustrating because our family specifically enjoys the balance of two breasts and two thighs. We were really looking forward to this meal, and the uneven portions left some of us unsatisfied. Given this experience, we have decided not to order from this restaurant again. The lack of communication and consideration for our order, coupled with the apparent’s attempt to cover up their shortage by giving our thigh to another customer was unacceptable. also, the chicken tasted horrible.
