I’m so glad we decided to give Pakaoma Thai-Lao Diner a try—what an absolute gem! We happened to arrive during their happy hour (such a pleasant surprise), and it set the tone for what turned out to be an incredible meal.

We started with the papaya salad and Lao sausage, and both were spot-on. Perfect portions, super fresh, and absolutely bursting with flavor. Then came the Tom Yum, which hit that ideal balance—not too spicy, but just enough to give you that delightful little kick. The green curry was loaded with veggies and protein, rich and fragrant in the best way. And the spicy basil with pork belly? Simply wonderful. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and seasoned with so much intention.

But the standout for me—my forever favorite—was the mango sticky rice. The rice was perfectly sweetened, the mango tangy and bright, and together they made the perfect ending to an already flavor-packed dinner. And I can’t forget the hot Milo served in a tin cup; it was a nostalgic, comforting touch that brought back all the sweetest childhood memories.

Overall, everything was delicious, balanced, and full of personality. So happy we tried this place, and I honestly can’t wait to come back and explore more of their menu. Highly recommend! ️

The food is SO good! I highly recommend the specialty crispy spring roll plate, that was the highlight meal of our dinner. Really cozy restaurant, decent prices – I would definitely recommend for a chill date night or as a casual dine in spot for friends and family. 3 plates was plenty of food for the two of us 🙂

Food presentation was great! Sauce perfectly balanced. Thai salad on the side. With a sweet sauce for the chicken made with honey so delicious. Server was very pleasant friendly and nice inside environment. Small parking area but worth it

Its very rare that papaya is hand shredded and this place hand shreds it. The crunchiness of the salad and spiciness is on point. The sticky rice that came with the steam fish was piping hot and the fish was deliciously steamed with umami flavor. This is a plus plus place to come too. Went on a friday it gets busy so go early for seating.

omg this place is PHENOMENAL. The dishes we got were deeeeeeeLICIOUS. We got the tum luang prabang, which is a papaya salad that uses wide flat thin strips of papaya instead of shredded papaya. We loved it!! I think I prefer the wide flat thin strips now. We also got the laab seen and pad kee mao. Both are very yummy too! Love the decor and all the details too. Like we got a Thai tea and a lemonade and the straw wrappers were wrapped as roses! So cute :’) I’m so excited to come back and try more dishes!!!!! Also love that they have gluten free and vegan options, and that they highlight dishes with nut allergies too!

I didn’t save the photos before posting on ig story so sorry my captions are in the photos lol THIS REVIEW IS NOT SPONSORED lol I genuinely fell in love with this place XD also shoutout to our server, Prim!

We were quite a big party including the baby and stroller, Gotta mention and appreciate that they accommodated us with service minded and smile. Definitely kids friendly. The restaurant is easy to approach, and park. Inside the restaurant is pretty cozy and feels like home.
We ordered several dishes to share. Overall, food is authentic and delicious. Thumbs up for that!! Food was served in generous portions. Nam Kao crispy rice salad and Lao sausages is highly recommended.
Also, can’t go wrong with BBQ pork. Mok pla is one of the best, feel like mom cooking for you. Servers were attentive, If you want to try something authentic from Lao and Thailand, ask them!!
We will definitely be back for try more items. Thanks god we found this spot!!

Definitely a hidden gem! Came here with a group of friends and we were all impressed. Loved the Thai music and the décor really set the vibes. We started with roti and egg rolls (so good). I got the pad thai and it was exactly what you want in a pad thai. My wife had the pumpkin curry and it was super flavorful. Friends ordered the kai soi (Lao style) and they couldn’t stop talking about it. Drinks menu is huge too. Food, music, atmosphere — all on point. Will for sure be coming back regularly.

We’ve been back here twice in four days! I don’t know much about Lao food, but this is definitely authentic Thai. We tried tons of dishes, and they were all delicious. Fried Clear Rice Roll Wrap, crispy Pork Belly, gangsom pak ruam, papaya Salad Platter and best crab fried rice.
