Mohit sounds like a great host. The fact that he immediately got what you needed says a lot. Paneer makhanwala with rumali roti is comfort food done right, and pairing that with veg biryani and gulab jamun is a full proper Indian meal, not a compromise. That must have felt like a relief after struggling elsewhere.
It’s also nice to hear the whole team was warm and attentive. Good service matters even more when you are far from home. And having a solid wine and cigar collection on top of that gives the place a very grown up, relaxed charm without losing its soul.
Honestly, this is the kind of restaurant people end up revisiting every time they come back to the city. If you plan another day in Casablanca, this spot deserves a repeat.
For starters, I had the mixed grill platter, which included tandoori chicken, grilled chicken, masala fish, and kebab. It was a nice way to begin the meal — a bit on the dry side, but easily improved with the addition of the fried onion sizzle.
For mains, we ordered tadka daal and gosht masala, asking for Indian-level spice. To go with it, we had garlic naan.
Overall, the meal was more than satisfactory. Both curries had a real kick, and the gosht masala in particular had great depth of flavour. The garlic naan could’ve used a touch of butter, but that’s a minor point.
Considering Casablanca doesn’t have a large South Asian community, this was a solid effort all round.
The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, complemented by soft lighting and soothing background music, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, reflecting the true essence of Indian hospitality.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to indulge in authentic Indian flavors and experience exceptional service. A great place to enjoy a taste of India in Casablanca!
The food is simply amazing, try these types of bread : 104, 105, for the main dishes, these are my favourite (in this order) : 46, 59, 64, you can’t go wrong with any type of rice, all good.
As for the place, it’s calm, not crowded at all, you get served in 20-30 minutes approximately.
Definitely recommends, I’ve been here more than 4 times, They’re consistent.
