We tried out this food truck a few weeks ago, just before the Christmas craziness. It was a solid 3.5/5 for me.

The truck is parked seemingly permanently off to the side of a Mobil gas station, just a little bit further into Madison past the Trash Pandas Stadium. They offer the option to order online. The menu is fairly large and they do have specials from time to time.

The young woman who took my order was polite and personable and I observed her fluently switch from English to Spanish and vice versa depending on customer need. They were doing a pretty solid business. A small vibrating device was passed out to each customer, which would vibrate and ring when the food was ready.

I’m pretty sure this is the only truck in the area that offers tlayudas, which is a dish created and primarily prepared in Oaxaca. Here, it’s a very large, charred tortilla covered in toppings including beans, veggies, and a protein of choice. I ordered one with chicken so I could try it; I got a burrito with al pastor for my husband. They were serving champurrado as well, and I couldn’t resist a cup of that.

My food and drink all came out at once and I carted it home to eat. The champurrado was too hot to drink for a while anyway, and the food held up pretty well. When I did get around to drinking, it was thick, not too sweet, and creamy. I think other places I’ve tried it are actually calling hot chocolate with cinnamon champurrado, but I think this was the real deal, with a heavy masa harina base. I enjoyed it.

Husband’s burrito was large and quite tasty. The rice inside was cooked nicely. My tlayuda was also pretty good, and huge – lots to eat. The sear on the tortilla added an interesting flavor, with the tortilla itself being alternately crispy and chewy, and the fresh charred jalapeño on top added good heat and flavor. The veggie toppings, especially the beans, were fresh and tasty. Unfortunately, I really didn’t like the chicken; it was chopped in small bits and really didn’t have much flavor or seasoning. The rubbery texture made it worse. I would order a tlayuda again, but would definitely change up the protein. Husband’s al pastor was a better choice.

Overall, it’s definitely worth it to try this truck to sample some harder-to-find fare in the area.

Truthfully one of the best authentic Mexican places to eat in Huntsville. Service was beautiful and quick. Prices are amazing, especially for the quality of food. Happy to say I gave this place a try, and they delivered in all areas !!

Tlayuda is a must try, one of the best Mexican dishes I’ve had. I had never heard of it and I’m so glad I tried the pork. It is seriously big enough for two or even two meals. The tacos are delicious. This place is off of Hughes in the Mobil gas station. Cute food truck. We went around 7:30 on a Friday night and they cooked it up right away. Authentic tasty Mexican food.

Great food at pretty good prices. Lots of good street tacos in the area and these will not disappoint. Their non tacos are a bit pricier but made with premium tasting ingredients and worth the additional costs

This was my first time and last time. Im not sure if its just the night i came or if the food is normally bland… also the tortilla was not toasted and was falling apart. Im not a fan of how they prepare their chicken. I should have asked if pulled chicken was a choice?
If you like a bit more flavor i wouldnt suggest this location.

Great food and cheap. Took chicken tacos and beef quesadilla, both taste fantastic. It also has tables to sit nearby.

Just great tacos (pollo, asada, barbacoa, or chorizo) at a really good price. There’s even a small picnic table if you want to enjoy the weather while enjoying your food. Definitely worth checking out, I will be back.

Very delicious food! I love their street tacos. They are the best around. They have the perfect amount of flavor and the price is very good. 4 tacos for 10. I visit several times a month. I wish they had a location closer to my house in South Huntsville lol

Nice outdoor seating. Friendly service. Food was so so. Horchata tasted like the mix where you just add water. I was a little disappointed in the food.
