San Paolo is a exciting new concept of Pizza arrivingin in Hawaii. It is a Italian-Brazilian pizza fusion. During 1st and 2nd world war south America, especially Brazil saw a great surge of Italian immigrants seeking refuge. Over time the quality and tradition of the Italian pizzas started to merge with the abundance of local ingredients, giving rise to a exciting new pizza style. With ingredients shipped from overseas and a wide variety of flavors and styles San Paolo seeks to bring tradition and innovation to the public of Hawaii.

First experience here! JP was our server. We had a very relaxing enjoyable time. We chose to do the Pizza Experience for $44.50 you get AYCE pizza, 20% off other menu items, and you get to try their monthly special pizza as well as their desssert options. You can basically try all the pizzas and desserts for the same price as 1 whole pizza. There’s a large pizza and wine selection along with pasta, salads, and dessert. Service is friendly and JP was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The bathrooms are well maintained.

Something special happens here, and it’s not really described accurately when researching this location. If you decide not to read the rest of my review, know one thing, this is the “Brazilian Steakhouse” of pizzerias. Yeah, there secret sauce is a limited duration, all-you-can-eat pizza dinner. With that out of the way, you should know that’s not what I ordered; I ordered a single pizza.
Before I get to the pizza discussion, we should talk about the atmosphere. I never thought I would say this. But this appears to be a “date night” pizzeria. Yeah, people got dressed up, grabbed their partners, and headed out to eat pizza. That description should provide all the information about the ambiance you need. Dim lighting, soft music, and private table conversations is what you should expect.
Personally, I sat at the bar, where the bartender complained for hours about being the only person serving drinks for the whole restaurant, so you can imagine what the service was like for me. It took me forever to get an order placed. On the plus side, the bartender was totally aware of the situation and apologized until blue on the face, but that doesn’t change my 3 star rating on service.
Of it wasn’t for the pizza being so good, I would have given the whole experience a three star rating, but they pulled off the impossible when I was there—make a delicious Hawaiian pizza. Keep in mind, I’m a never-pineapple person, but when on “Rome.” Honestly, this will probably be the past time I ever order it, so it seems like a perfect end to the pineapple on pizza experiment.
Ultimately, I don’t know about the all-you-can-eat service at the restaurant, but if all the pizzas are a delicious as the Hawaiian, it’s probably a can’t miss experience.

Did the all you can eat experience for a birthday reservation. There was zero wait for our reserved table. Our server was kind and accommodating to a dietary restriction a party member of ours had. Every pizza was fresh and the sourdough crust was wonderful. I especially loved the honey and brie pizza. For dessert, the pistachio pizza is unmatched.

Pizza is ehh. Some pizzas are nice and hot, some are lukewarm which kills the point. Toppings are good, cheese is wonderful (if it’s hot), crust is soft and crispy. We did the pizza gourmet experience and it was honestly underwhelming in my opinion. Service was top notch. Atmosphere was beautiful. Dessert menu confused me, I’m not too sure if I liked the idea of sweets on pie crusts but oh .

Fantastic pizza place! You have two options for dining: ala carte or all you can eat. This time around we did the all you can eat option and it was wonderful! They come around with different savory and sweet pizza options and you can request specific pizzas from their menu to add into the rotation if you want. We also ordered their Brazilian limeade which was delicious. Our favorites were the honey brie pizza and the pistachio pizza. So good! We made a reservation for a party of 5, but it didn’t seem like there was much of a wait for walk-in parties. They had live music when we went (Sunday night) which was enjoyable.

We just arrived in Honolulu and didn’t make it far from our hotel when we stumbled upon this gem! We have eaten a lot of pizza all over the world and this is one of the best. The crust was so chewy and yet pillowy. I had never heard of catupiry before but it is a new favorite cheese! We had coxinha which were delicious, the burrata salad (also amazing) and the Neapolitan pepperoni San Paolo pizza. We did have alcohol as well which added about $25 to our bill. Was it cheap? No. Was it worth it? Absolutely! They also had live music which was lovely.

I lived in São Paulo for two years as a Mormon missionary. Some of the best pizza I have ever had in my life. And tonight, 12.5 years after I came home, I finally had something that replicated the food I had missed dearly! The Calabresa and Catupiry was divine, it brought back so many good emotions, I am only here in Hawaii for a week, but I will be returning to eat again.
The staff was kind and gracious, and can’t say enough good things about how they treated me and my family. I could continue to go on but I’ll send it with that. 10/10!!

I absolutely love this place. The flavor of the pizza truly reminds me of authentic São Paulo-style pizza from Brazil something I rarely find outside my home country. I’ve been here four times already, and every single visit has been perfect. The food is delicious, the quality is consistent, and the overall experience keeps me coming back. Highly recommend!

It comes with smaller slices you can try many more pizzas from their menu. As long as your token is green, they’ll keep being you pizza after pizza.
Lines can get pretty long so I highly recommend making reservations. And even with reservations, we still waited another 30 minutes after we initially checked in so be prepared to wait.
There is no parking available on premise but if you’re lucky you can find street parking along the ilikai hotel and marina.
