The staff are very nice but the food isn’t the best. Pizza is thin crust. Burgers are the best part. Then you have salads and sandwiches. It definitely isn’t bad food by any means but I prefer other restaurant areas on campus.

I’ve eaten here everyday for the past few weeks and it’s kind of greasy. Its edible and probably wayyyy better than a high school lunch, but there is a lack of healthy options and serve pasta and burgers everyday while finding a salad is a struggle. Not blaming the staff, I’m sure they do their best and work with what they’re given. Just remember it’s a cafeteria, not a food court. So dont set your expectations too high.

Moldy bread was a disappointment, be careful if you like toast. You get the feeling the stock isn’t being rotated and unpopular items sit around too long. Best say a prayer before you eat. Basic college steam table line. If you love Lipton tea and cheap spongy bread you’ll like it. They have ok pizza.

I like the food here and have been coming here since last year, but some of the staff feel it is their responsibility to harass me about my mask. I wqs asked to pull my mask up over my nose which I did, but even after that a staff member followed me across the dining hall to further harass me in public even though I was then complying. Unacceptable and unprofessional. Many students call the view home for their food and should not be treated as a pastime for disgruntled employees.

The View certainly has a great location, and the scenery outside of an urban university nestled in the heart of the the neighborhoods that connect St. Paul and Minneapolis together, cannot be beat. That said, it has been more or less a cafeteria 2.0 when it replaced the old one; lately however, it seems to have improved greatly in its offerings and the quality of the food. There seems to be some new imagination at work. If you are visiting the University of St. Thomas, or are already on campus, it is worth a visit!

Poor variety paired with poor quality. Bland Bland Bland; I salt and pepper my food into oblivion no matter what it is. Definitely not what I was expecting from a private school. I would definitely suggest a food service company like Bon Appetit in the future instead of an internal service.
