Came in on Friday during a lunch rush and decided to sit at the bar. I was extremely impressed with how good our service was. The bartender had a full bar and was helping serve tables. She was not only friendly and personable, she was also fast & made amazing martinis! The food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely be back!

I really wanted to like Andiamo a lot, but to be honest, I was underwhelmed. It seemed very sterile almost like a sports bar during COVID-19, easy to wipe down but without a lot of design soul. Seems like there could be an easy remedy, with a few plants or decorations to divide the setting.
And while the food was good it wasn’t great. I had the Caprese salad with steak, and unfortunately the steak was completely undercooked. I know restaurants are petrified of overcooking things and having to throw out food, but this was uncooked. My wife had the salmon which on the other hand she seemed to feel was tasty and appropriately cooked.
I should note that when we arrived. our greeting was very pleasant and our server who had just started his first week was incredibly attentive.
All in I would rate it a B+ for service and a C+ for food.

The waitresses are friendly and quick. The restaurant has a classic bar counter which gives a chill ambience for the customers. Food serving is decent and food is delicious. Apple crisp is a must try dessert that is not on the menu. Will come back again if there’s a chance to.

Let me paint a picture of Andiamo Restaurant – Bar & Café in Andover, MA, a place where culinary magic, warmth, and sophistication fuse into an unforgettable dining experience.
From the moment my wife and I stepped inside, we were enveloped in an atmosphere buzzing with energy and charm. The staff–especially the bartender–was not just attentive but professionally charismatic and socially engaging, making us feel like honored guests rather than mere patrons. Every request was met with genuine warmth and a smile, and the service was so flawless it bordered on choreographed elegance.
Onto the food–oh, the food! My wife’s Chicken Piccata was nothing short of a masterpiece: a crispy, golden chicken cutlet draped in a velvety wine butter sauce that danced on the palate, each bite a symphony of texture and flavor. As for me, I indulged in The Italiano, a meaty marvel piled high on fresh ciabatta bread, kissed with vintage balsamic dressing that elevated every ingredient to new heights. And the truffle fries–crispy, golden, and dusted with just the right amount of truffle essence–were so delectable I found myself sneaking extra bites from my wife’s plate.
The cocktails? Simply spectacular. The Andiam-old Fashioned, crafted with Whistle Pig Piggy Back Rye 6 Year, was a robust, perfectly balanced libation that warmed the soul. The Pear Sage Metropolitan was a refreshing, fruity concoction that brightened the afternoon and left us craving more.
Every detail, from the ambiance to the presentation, screamed passion for hospitality. Our lunch at Andiamo Restaurant wasn’t just a meal–it was a celebration of flavor, service, and style. If you’re anywhere near Andover, do yourself a favor and experience this gem. Five stars just aren’t enough!
Our experience at Andiamo Restaurant – Bar & Café in Andover, MA was already extraordinary, but it reached new heights of indulgence with the arrival of dessert. The Chocolate Soufflé Cake was a revelation–rich, deeply chocolatey, and impossibly light, with a warm, molten center that melted in the mouth. Paired with a generous scoop of silky smooth vanilla gelato, the dessert was the perfect finale: the cool creaminess of the gelato balanced the intense cocoa notes of the soufflé cake, creating a harmony of flavors and textures that left us utterly enchanted.
From the impeccable, personable service to the spectacular cocktails and every delectable bite–including that unforgettable, dreamy dessert–Andiamo is a culinary destination that sets the bar sky-high. Our lunch was more than a meal; it was a memory made, and we’ll be back for every course–especially that Chocolate Soufflé Cake.

You must go here! it was so good. I never finish all my food at a restaurant and I made myself here because it was amazing and so perfectly balanced in flavor. It is homemade food, but I promise nobody in your family cooks like this. Great atmosphere and well made bar drinks too. In the photos so had mussels which were on special, so you may not be able to order them. I will be back for the next specials- but the burger was unique and five star.

My husband is Italian and picky about food, so if he loved this restaurant, it means it’s really good! I loved everything about it, the restaurant, the service and the food. The short rib arancini was simply wonderful and I’m a fan of arancini and I can say it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. We’ll definitely go back to this restaurant many times!!!

I visited twice this week during a business trip to Andover. The servers were attentive and delivered great service. The food was very good with large portions. Drink prices were a little high, but the quality of the drinks was excellent with excellent presentation. I’ll be here for another 6 days and will probably visit again before returning home.

Let me start off by saying, Jim and Trish, who are the owners, are terrible in every aspect of business. They lack respect for their staff and guests. Our own waitress has cried to us about her bosses treating her so poorly! When you walk in this place, you’re immediately greeted with either a hostess who is completely confused, and or Jim/Trish talking badly about you to the hostess. You can feel the tense, unwelcoming, controlling, and chaotic environment even when they are not busy. I have walked in this place for dinner and I have heard Trish say to the hostess, “they are 15 minutes earlier I don’t know what they think they’re doing, they’re going to have to wait” in such a rude, aggressive manner, then of course when we walk up to her, she greets us with a fake smile. My order was messed up, I asked for my steak to be well done (NO PINK), and it was brought over to me medium rare (RED) I’d say. I asked if it could be sent back, and then Jim comes to my table and starts arguing with me for about 5-7 minutes straight. On the way out, I walk past kitchen and they are not wearing gloves or hair nets at all. They are playing food with bare hands, which is against MA retails food codes. It’s very average and everything you see and order off the menu, can be made better at home for way less money. This restaurant is only about making money. They don’t care about guests at all. This place should NOT be getting business for multiple reasons. I know some of Jim and Trish’s friends and associates personally plus I have my own friends in the restaurant business, and I’m speaking for all of us when I say, they need to do better. You might not see or hear the ugly, but just know when you are sitting down eating or having a drink they are talking about you and they want you to leave so they can make some more money off your seat. I wish them the best, hopefully they can improve!
