SquareHouse Pizza is an excellent spot for Detroit-style pizza in Gainesville. We tried a good spread—the Motor City, Garden Variety, and a classic cheese—and all of them were well done with great flavor and that thick, crispy crust you want. Service was quick, there’s plenty of outdoor seating, and only limited space inside. A solid choice if you’re craving Detroit-style pizza done right.

Me and a buddy from work went for lunch and man this place was cool! You walk in it’s got that old school vibe, you’ll see in my pictures! Especially for me being middle-aged I love looking around at all the stuff. Now onto the food! Now I love me some pizza! I’m from New York, but I love to try everything because a lot of these places make all different kinds of pizza and I just love it! My Buddy had a curry chicken pizza and he loved it. Never heard of it before lol. I had bacon and ham and it was really good! I took a bunch of pictures of the pizza and the restaurant so check it out and definitely go try this place because I’ll definitely be back!

Yummy breakfast pizza. Waffles are out of this world incredible. I don’t even want to know how much butter they probably have but they are delectable. Option to get extra butter, syrup or chocolate chips on the side.

Food was amazing! We’ve been to multiple Gluten Free pizza places even out of state and this was by far the best we’ve ever had. To top it off the Gluten Free pizza is deep dish and so delicious. Not only is the pizza amazing the Gluten Free waffles are also delicious. Definitely try the pizza you will be in shock!!!

The pizzas were amazing, especially the Mariah Curry one with cauliflower. Simple menu and good service. Personally I would like to not have flies everywhere. Maybe best to carry out if you are nearby. The waffles were nice but little eggy. Could use some vanilla.

This pizza is soooooo good. Literally might have been the best I’ve ever had. I would 100% recommend coming here. We had my family of 5, got three pizzas and ate almost all of it. Spend about $40 total. It has a nice vibe and our family really enjoyed it.
It did take a bit for our pizzas to be ready, but thats probably because we ordered 3. So if you don’t want to wait a while, i wouldnt recommend coming here with a group larger than about 9.
Was definitely worth the wait though! Can’t wait to go back again and try other items!

Hit this place at the prime time 6:30 on a Saturday night. Not too busy in the 4th ave food park. This pizza was 8×10 square (Square House pizza) and the crust was just thick enough and crispy like a Detroit style pizza should be. Got sausage and mushrooms and it took 15 minutes with a decent price. Wasn’t dry with just the right amount of toppings, cheese, and sauce. Best pizza I’ve had in quite a while. Just right for two of us.

I was near University Ave and really wanted Satchel’s Pizza (IYKYK) but didn’t want to drive over there. So I made a stop at SquareHouse Pizza, hoping it would be just as good as the real thing, and I was not disappointed! This place used to be called “Satchel’s Squared” and was run and owned by Satchel. It has since been bought out by his partner. The name changed, but the pizza is still top-notch! Great pizza in a great location!
