From the moment I walked in, the aroma of fresh herbs and simmering broth felt like a hug waiting to happen. The pho came out piping hot, crystal-clear, and full of depth — the kind of broth you can tell has been simmered with real care. The slices of chicken were tender, the noodles perfectly cooked, and the fresh basil, bean sprouts, and lime on the side added that bright, refreshing balance.
I ordered the vegetarian summer rolls with peanut dipping sauce, and they were amazing. Fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor — the peanut sauce took them to a whole new level.
The grilled meat over vermicelli was also a standout — smoky, savory, and seasoned to perfection.
And the iced coffee? Smooth, strong, and just the right amount of sweet. The kind of drink you taste once and already know you’re getting again next time.
Everything felt comforting, balanced, and made with intention. On a day when the rain was falling and the air had that winter bite, Pho Saigon was the warm, flavorful escape I needed.
Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese comfort food done right.
I then asked to speak to a manager which did little to help because of a language barrier. I could tell my concerns were poorly translated to her favor.
After today’s experience, I would never recommend Pho Saigon Noodle House in Crofton Maryland or return. From this point forward, I’ll only go to PHO 5UP in Crofton. At least there, we’ve been consistently treated with respect.
The broth was a pale yellow transparent color, it had an unpleasant oily sweetness that completely overpowered the dish. I tried to balance it out with Sriracha, soy sauce, and limes, but nothing helped. Even worse, the noodles themselves seemed to be infused with the same overly sweet flavor, making the entire bowl nearly inedible.
The summer rolls were equally disappointing—bland and poorly assembled. To top it off, the service left much to be desired. I ordered two large plain noodle pho’s, summer rolls, and two glasses of water. While the food eventually arrived, the water never did. I noticed that four patrons who came in after me were immediately served water, while I had to get up more than halfway through my meal and go to the front just to ask for it.
Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Very strong coffee with sweetened condensed milk- definitely a special morning treat, but they nailed it.
Doors open at 10:30 am, and it only took a few minutes for our drinks to be made. We can’t wait to go back!
The vegetable portion was noticeably smaller than what other customers received and much less than in my past experiences. In addition, the plate was filled with excess water and not properly drained. When I slid the vegetables into my bowl, the water spilled into my bowl.
The waitress also did not serve us water at any point. Overall, this felt like unfair and discriminatory treatment compared to other customers.
I have been a loyal customer for years, but this experience was extremely disappointing and has convinced me not to return. I regret tipping, as the level of service did not justify it.
