In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. We do things the Bueno way, and you’re sure to taste the difference.

I have been to this location several times now and the service and cleanliness was top notch. This location has the BEST salsa out of all the Buenos I’ve been to. The salsa bar was super clean and fully stocked. The lobby was wiped down and clean. I will definitely make this my go to Bueno. My food came out fresh and fast also. It’s also in the perfect location with lots of good shopping spots.

I literally just paid $13.10 for three bean burritos and a large side of queso. Make it all the way back to work open up my food and this is what I get and now they won’t answer the phones. This is out of line

I feel like we live in a time where good customer service is hard to come by. I was pleasantly surprised at Taco Bueno tonight. The service was outstanding, the restaurant was clean, and the food tasted fresh and delicious. I was very happy with my experience. I will definitely be returning.

“combo burrito”… no beans. folded 4 times bc it was so empty. If I wanted a small party burrito I would’ve ordered and paid for that but I didn’t.

“And I was surprised !” The Food finally had Flavor !” I had the Chicken Taquitos plate !” And everything was good !”

Is that the Service was a bit slow. I don’t see much employees ! Probably short staff ! It was about 3pm when I got here.
And it wasn’t as clean inside. Floor’s and table’s need attention. The personal were good. And for the price’s it wasn’t bad at all ! Compared to some of these Mexican restaurant ! For the same thing I had ! It would have cost you Lots more than this place. Chelinos would have cost you about $15 to 17 dollars. And when you don’t have enough money ! This place isn’t that bad !”

This place needs to shut down or get it together! Came in and the ice machine is broken. Stuff falling from the ceiling and onto the tables and chairs. Moldy ceiling. Not one clean table even though “we’ve lost a lot of business due to having no ice” said the cashier. You can not serve people in a place like this to eat. It was very hard to eat the food I ordered once I went to sit down and saw how nasty the place was.

Wednesday evening, went through drive thru. Ordered muchaco, no beans, & party taco. At home. Ready to eat, opened muchaco, BEANS! Uck! Called to tell them they owe me a correct order next time for FREE! No answer, phone rings, then I get busy signal. Tried calling 4 times, same, busy signal. Checked phone number on my phone, number is same one I dialed. Same again, no answer, then busy signal. Why have a phone if you won’t answer? Why does phone not operate? I’m still waiting for a correction. I will have to go to location to get resolution. Of course, Wednesday, I was left hungry!

This location always goes above and beyond!!!! Tonight one of the employees even offered to carry our food to the car for us because it was icy out! You can tell they enjoy being at work, Cash the manager seems like a great guy to work for! The salsa bar is always stocked and fresh and our order was delicious!!

We’ve always loved this place, and the last few times we’ve gone they’ve really and truly improved from where they were just a few months ago. Today we went and Jermaine handled our food and was fantastic. Our food was hot and we got it quick!

Drive through open until 2300 hours yet at 2130 no one answered the speaker for over 5 minutes. Calling the store and no answer.
Fast forward to the next week and finally open but the food is lacking. Taco shells can bend in half without snapping so it’s like eating a taco shell sandwich. The mexi dips and chips were good and chips actually crispy. Salsa and quesadillas were good but come on; if the taco shell doesn’t crunch, why serve it to us! I ordered hard tacos not soft.
