So deserving of its high reviews and ratings. The menu is curated superbly by their Master Chefs and caters for all discerning tastes including vegan and allergy sufferers.

Set in the majestic Imperial hotel you are wowed from the point of arrival through the amazing hotel Atrium and taken back into colonial times of the Raj as the interior de or is sublime and interior is painted using food colourings too!

The meet and greet is considerate and efficient. The dining area superbly laid out and really there’s not a bad seat anywhere.

The staff are attentive and considerate and offer advice and shows they’ve been really well trained by management here.

The accompanying drinks complement the dining moods and varying spice levels means select by the glass for each course.

A worthy winner of its rosettes and definitely in the conversation for Michelin recognition.

You won’t find a bad plate and your tastebuds will be left tingling with delight. You will be whisked back into the old times of original India.

A booking is essential at the usual peak times as a very popular place and we were staying at the hotel when all the EU Commission dignitaries frequented so I’m sure this experience will reverberate to making this place even more popular.

Just an amazing experience. Better than a 5 star rating. The decor is mind blowing. The detailing is the best I have seen ever in a restaurant anywhere in the world.
The service and food are excellent.
The atmosphere is transporting. Given it took 7 years to build this its a complete work of art and a labor of love.
Excellent evening. Needs to be experienced not read about.

Were staying at the hotel and decided to have dinner there one night. Food was excellent. Decor is so beautiful, got no word to describe it. Staff is the best. When a nice lady offered us to choose between two tables, I said I’d let “birthday girl”, aka my mother, choose which one she prefered. When time for dessert came, we were suprised with a birthday cake! So thoughtful.

A great experience as always. Interiors are overwhelming – you can keep admiring them.

Service is great. Staff is attentive and polite. The menu is varied but a bit limited.

The cocktails are good. Whisky sour was nice. The mango salad was ok. The prawn starter was also ok. As were the noodles.

Highly disappointing and discriminatory experience! The restaurant interior is absolutely outstanding and I was back at the Spice Route after a long time so I was really looking forward to my lunch date, however, the entire experience turned out to be a scar which would always remain in my heart. The service staff was absolutely discriminatory towards Non-Whites, we were made to feel this way by their biased service. Right adjacent to us some Brits were having lunch who were looked after so well and asked about the meals and on contrary no one even bothered to ask us about the food, they were not even bothered to serve us the food with standard service or bothered to ask if we might need some cutlery or chopsticks. We opted for vegetarian set menu, the food could have possibly been a saviour but sadly it was so below average and like i said no one was bothered to even ask us how was the food. You’re only welcome if you’re oozing luxury or you gotta have a white skin at the Imperial hotel. I had glimpse of colonial Era in 21st Century by no one else but my fellow India. I felt I really needed to share it.

My adult daughter’s birthday dinner. Just to set the context, we are from Atlanta GA and had plenty of different Asian cuisines including Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian etc and love them all. So, we were excited to try this restaurant in the Imperial. Unfortunately, the food was a big let down. To be sure, the ambiance is very ornate with intricate carvings, murals and other things. Service was pretty good but a bit slow at times. But the food was a disappointment. For appetizers, we got chicken satay, which was undercooked (not acceptable in a restaurant of this stature and turned us off), pulled mud crab, which was ok but not great and Papaya salad which was good. For entree we had stir fried lamb (or goat not sure) which was ok, but had very gamey flavor, Mamak Baby chicken, which is literally just a bland butterflied and grilled chicken with yellow curry sauce on the side and absolutely had no flavor, Thai green curry vegetable, which is good and mushroom fried rice, which is ok but is a bit sweet. Very disappointed. We did get the creambrule sample and that was interesting. For a restaurant that charges international prices and is in a five star hotel, this food quality is simply disgraceful.

Good atmosphere and really good service but the food lacked taste and flavour. It reminded me of Indian restaurant in Canada which were catered towards other peoples taste palettes besides Indians. If that that was their aim they did a good job because 90% of guest were international. I gave them 5 starts because i don’t wanna spoil their ratings just because I didn’t like it, i am sure someone who enjoys blank food might.

A sheer extravagance for senses and food.

We went there for birthday celebration. The first thing you notice as you enter the imperial is sheer opulence and sense of luxury.

The resturant is one of many inside the hotel offering cuisine across the world. The resturant is themed asian history with walls depicting painting from central asia.

Food menu is well curated with something for everyone. We ordered chicken puffs and kerala side prawans as appetizers. The puffs were just average however prawns were amazing.

Next on table was the roasted duck leg, the meat was well cooked and glazed however the salad serverd with it was too salty which spoilt the taste, chicken noodles were amazing and must try.

The staff was kind enough to serve us with mango chia pudding when we complained about the duck dish.

Over all visit here for sheer sense of royalty and luxury, however food can be a hit and miss.

I tried getting gift vouchers from this restaurant. I had to follow up about 5 to 6 times over call, over 2 days and finally I received an email which is asking for the most basic details, something which they could’ve taken over call itself. I was told I’ll be given voucher options over the mail but nothing came through even after more than 48 hours had passed. Just the experience of trying to get a gift voucher has been so disappointing, it doesn’t make me want to visit the restaurant at all. Staff seems disengaged.
