Earlier today I ordered from the same location. Again, I ordered a pizza + crazy bread combo and some cheese crazy puffs. Well, once again, the Dasher shows up at my door with no pizza, and he says it didn’t show up “in the portal” again. Now, I don’t know what that means. There’s a little slip tacked to the box of crazy puffs that lists three “new make items” on it, including the pizza. Even if there’s a glitch preventing the pizza from showing up somewhere, it would take an almost superhuman level of incompetence not to double-check all this and see this slip and see that a pizza needs to be made for this order (and who the hell would order just sides from a pizza place anyway?). It turned out that they gave me the wrong crazy puffs this time, too (pepperoni when I had ordered cheese).
This time, the DoorDasher wasn’t so willing to solve the problem for me (and I don’t blame him- it wasn’t his mistake). So I called the number on the order receipt I was emailed and ended up talking to somebody at a call center (I don’t even know if she was working for Little Caesars or for DoorDash). She said she couldn’t re-deliver the order, and offered to refund half the purchase. (Would I have gotten other options if I had pressed for them? I have no idea.) Well, the pizza had made up more than half the price I paid, so I got the privilege of paying extra for some breadsticks and the wrong crazy puffs, plus half tax, plus $4.50 (half the delivery fee + tip). Great! A 50% refund is insulting, especially since this is the second time this exact same problem has happened.
I guess the moral of the story is don’t trust that this place will actually get your order right, and don’t trust that you’ll be able to do anything about it if they screw it up.
I’m done. Casey’s is two blocks away and the pizza is a LOT better.
Go to get that “free” pizza. Waited 30 minutes to find out it was not even put in the oven… mind you Im in the car with our 8 month old baby trying to console him. Had to drive home, call our emergency baby sitter and come back to my hubby outside with our pizza in the cold since he was treated so poorly. TERRIBLE service.
