Good food, kind service. The chicken sandwich was very juicy and well done. The spaghetti was good with a lot of meatballs. The brown gravy was delightful. My only this is that their photos in the menu are not appealing as they actually made me feel ill looking at them, also, the food is pretty pricy. But trust me when I say the food looks much better than the photos.

We stopped in for a late lunch about 2ish on a Saturday. We aren’t big on buffet style places, but the ‘breakfast served all day’ sign caught our eye. I’m glad it did!
The time of day we visited meant it wasn’t too busy, so we had plenty of seating options. Establishment was very clean. The service was quick and super friendly.
The menu was bigger than expected with a nice variety. We opted for the Pony Shoe Breakfast & Veggie Omelet. Both were delicious! The price was great considering the amount of food you receive. We definitely didn’t leave hungry.
We will absolutely stop in again. Recommended.

Friendly little family diner-type restaurant. Service was good…most of my family loved the buffet. Excellent breakfast choices…sausage, bacon, AND ham, eggs, French toast. Very reasonably priced. No frills, paper checks, etc… I would have liked to see more Buffet options, should have just ordered off the menu because they had a ton of options!
Ice cream machine was down, which was one of the reasons we chose to go there, but didn’t ruin the experience. It’s a bit noisy, but we enjoyed the experience overall.

Fairly typical small family diner. Too many items on the menu makes it so the quality lacks. We went in around 9 on a sunday morning only had 2 servers working. Was sat right away but had to wait 15 minutes to be seen by the server. Then ordered drinks and had to wait another 15 to order the food. Food wasnt great very cheap quality but the prices reflected higher quality. Ive been here a couple times sometimes service is better but was rough this time and i understand they were busy but id rather be told its a 20 minute wait than to sit with kids and then not be served for 30 minutes.

We arrived at 10:50 am for the lunch buffet. The hash browns were cold on the inside. Fish filets were overcooked and the chicken was lukewarm. We were the 1st ones at the buffet, so the food should have been at least serving temp. (140* if I’m not mistaken). Only took 2nds on the shrimp. Would not recommend this place.

Excellent hometown style diner with a huge menu and a buffet.
Very friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere.
Didn’t have to wait for a table even though I stopped during lunchtime. I had the tenderloin and breaded mushrooms.
My food came fast and tasted wonderful. Thin and crispy tenderloin on a delicious bun. The mushrooms were perfect with the side of ranch.
Highly recommended!

Went there for their Sunday Brunch Buffet today and my first time there, it was friendly staff, great fresh hot food, clean and very nice atmosphere definitely want to come back and look at their items on the menu!!!

Monroe Family restaurant does the home town proud. Most weekday evenings are probably slow but that doesn’t seem to slow down the helpfulness and enthusiasm of the workers or the quality of their food.
My country fried steak was done to perfection with the accompaniment of extra buttery mashed potatoes slathered with their own country gravy.
My partner ordered fish and chips (British for French fries) and it was another hit. The fish was done well with light batter without being greesy. The fries/chips were battered and fried, making them crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with flavor sealed in, requiring no ketchup or another additive.
They are popular for their lunch buffet, but our dinner experience was exceptional. The side serving of green beans was just ordinary, however.
The workers seem to work well as a team and that makes it a special for the customer.
