At our Madisonville, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Was in drive-thru for 30 minutes workers were rude in taking my order it seemed as if I was a bother to them. I am very unhappy and probably will not return any time soon. They need to do better and treat people with compassion if u dont like your job get another!

Clean restaurant, friendly employees and I was served hot food that was exactly as ordered! I got the special two piece fish with a side of your choice and two hush puppies for $5.99. Great price for a hot tasty meal!

Very slow “service” even though there were less than 4 other customers in the restaurant when we were there and five employees that could be seen. We had to wait several minutes at the counter to get a fork because there were none in the rack and no one seemed to notice we were even there at the counter. Meanwhile, one employee had time to chill on her cell phone while we waited for someone to notice us waiting at the counter. Very unprofessional attitude of all the employees as it seemed they are all just there in their own little world and customers are more of a bother to them rather than the reason they have a paycheck. The food was ok, but r fish was cold as it sat on the plate for nearly ten minutes waiting for coleslaw to be prepared, which was only cabbage and carrots with little to nothing else to actually make it taste like coleslaw.

First of all… you never know if this place is open. Went on a whim, and it was. Ordered a Sweet Tea at the window with the Lobster Rolls and Fries. Food tasted like it was sitting all day and they were just serving to get rid of it. Nothing was hot. Fries were cold. Also, after my order was taken, I was informed they just dumped all the sweet tea after taking my payment. Had I known sooner, I would have went elsewhere. This place is disappointing, and with no adult manager on duty, it is apparent that you will get least minimum effort.

Walk in at 2:09 and stood there for seven minutes with no one interested in taking our order. Place looked abandoned. One guy in the back made eye contact and then proceeded to shuffle fries around in an effort look busy. Maybe he was trying to make artwork out of it.
