The food is always hot, fresh, and super flavorful. The chicken lo mein and yum yum chicken are our go-to orders and never disappoint. If you go for lunch you get soup with it too.
Plus, the classic 80s vibe inside is such a bonus — it’s calm, cozy, and feels like stepping into a little time capsule in the best way, so I hope they never update it!
The food i’ve tried is delicious, but their orange chicken is the best i’ve ever had! I have made a point of making my way through Idaho Falls, to stop in, 3 more times in the last year!
Check them out!

Yummy House is a great place for good food and conversations. Both your and everyone else’s. When we dined in, it was a full house and we could hear everyone around us. Our waitress was very friendly despite the busyness and did a great job making sure no one was left waiting for drink refills.
The star of the show was definitely the food. My fiancé and I loved the General Tso’s Chicken! It had a great crunch without the chicken itself being dry and the sauce was packed with flavor. My egg flower soup was good — I added a dash of salt and some pepper — but that’s how I grew up eating it. The BBQ Pork Hong Kong Chow Mein was yummy too! I love crispy noodles so I order it every chance I get. The pork itself was a tad dry so I’ll probably try the House Special version next time. We also ordered beef & broccoli. Which, surprisingly, was our least favorite dish but it was still tasty!
The only downside — we tried to dine in last Friday and walked in around 8:30pm and were told the restaurant closed at 8pm. It was such a bummer because the menu and Google Maps said 9:30pm. If you’re looking for a place to dine a little later, I’d recommend calling first to verify hours.
Compared to the other Chinese restaurants in town, Yummy House takes the cake! I highly recommend checking it out.
