I went in thinking I would grab “just a quick sandwich.” That was optimistic.
Firehouse does not make light little polite subs. They make sandwiches that require commitment, possibly a strategy meeting. The bread is soft but sturdy, the meat is generous, and everything is steamed in a way that makes you question why other sandwich places are still trying.
The first bite is warm, cheesy, and slightly dramatic, in the best way. You immediately understand why you are not cooking tonight.
The staff moves with efficiency, friendly but not forced, and the place stays clean even during a rush. That matters. Nothing ruins a good sub like chaos at the soda machine.
If you are in Moncks Corner and craving something reliable, filling, and unapologetically stacked, this is the stop. I tell myself I will only eat half and save the rest. I rarely succeed.
Ten out of ten, would gladly require extra napkins again.

I thoroughly enjoy getting my lunch from here occasionally. My new favorite is the Hero sub. I like the fact that my order was in the process of being completed when I arrived to pick it up. The employees were nice and I appreciate being greeted. Top notch service!

Went to the Moncks Corner location, near Walmart. The order taker was spot-on! Friendly and good at her job. The sandwich maker, not even close! My husband wanted the New York Steamer, no sauces, I.e., mayo or mustard that come on it, only meat and cheese. While placing the order, the order taker repeated it and even had me verify it was correct on the screen. It was correct! The sandwich maker put what appeared to be mayo on one side of the sandwich but then attempted to remove it. The other side appeared to have Italian dressing on it?! At any rate, these sandwiches aren’t cheap. One would suppose if you have a special order, you may pay closer attention, especially if someone asks for NO MAYO! What if my husband is allergic to eggs? Eggs are in mayo, so to just try to “wipe off” the mayo is unacceptable! Get a new bun or start over if you make a mistake! I ordered 4 sandwiches and two had special requests. They got one out of two correct, not a good average!

Came in 4 minutes until close, I know how it feels I’ve worked in restaurant atmosphere’s before. However the staff working this evening didn’t mind at all. Great service and even had a couple laughs with them about coming in so late. Firehouse is always going to be my favorite sub place EVER.

The service here is always really good. The food is also made with pride and is quickly prepared. My only concern is the price. Today’s sandwich meal was $19.01. Just seems too high for lunch but than again it’s the new normal.

I normally love the New York Steamer but tonight’s order was awful. It was half fat and grissly. Somebody needs to do better quality control with their meat. I paid almost $40 for two subs via Uber Eats and it took almost 2 hours to get the delivery. Not Firehouse subs fault but the quality of the meat was all them.

I normally don’t write reviews but my experience at this location with the food was absolutely awful. The price you pay vs the food you get and the quality doesn’t mesh together. I ordered the Briskett Cheddar in a large and the meat was very dry and there was hardly any meat. The cheddar was hardly melted and no to very little mayo was added. It states BBQ sauce is included and there was a tiny strip. The bread was hard.

Waited 30 minutes for a small (3in) sub for the cheese and mustard to be missing and have to bring it back in. ( 35 minutes if you add in the remade sandwich)Three people in front of me, something that smells like nail polish remover burned my eyes and nose the entire time, and paid $11 for the experience for a tiny sub and two bags of chips and 35 minutes of my life I can’t get back This is the pic of the second sandwich box I received covered in mustard so yeah… there’s mustard now and also on my pants so that’s nice but maybe I should be happy I got mustard this time? 1/10 don’t recommend and I won’t come back again.

THEY GAVE ME AN EMPTY SANDWICH! I spend $50 dollars in subs for my family and instead of a meatball sub I got a box with bread. There is no way you accidentally put NOTHING in the sandwich! Crazy part is it’s happened twice. Forgetting or messing up an order is upsetting but it happens, but just bread is INSANE. You did that on purpose which sucks cause the family loved that place and after 12hr shift I thought order instead of drive and pick up. Wrong choice!
