Hidden and snug in the heart of Kyle, sits what looks and feels like my Abuelita’s house. Plenty of parking, and drive thru option as well! Inside, truly feels like a home visit to your grandmothers kitchen and the staff are friendly and attentive, welcoming like family. The aguas frescas were delicious! The barbacoa was great! My kids all raved about the tasty pancakes as well. We are so glad to have found this hidden gem. I plan to return soon. Thank you El Roble!

Me and my husband kept saying we should try El Roble. So, we finally did. And they did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was better than some of the bigger restaurants.

I sure enjoy these small businesses for breakfast and lunch. We were in Kyle, and I wanted a home cooked breakfast but didn’t want to make it myself. So I googled breakfast nearest me and looked for something besides big chain restaurants. I saw some of the photos were just the kind of breakfast I was looking for late in the day. I am so looking forward to trying other menu items in the near future. I’m willing to drive from downtown Austin to Kyle for it. That’s how good they are. It’s a great family owned and operated restaurant. The owner was our waitress, and her son was running the driver through.

Some of the best Barbacoa I’ve had. Service is amazing and staff is super firnedly and attentive. Seating is limited as the building is very small. Ive been here 3 times now at random times and the service and food have remained consistent.

We’ve been driving past for like a year saying, we need to go check them out… DO NOT WAIT AS LONG AS WE DID! OMG, the food is delicious, fresh, hot, and flavorful. Staff are awesome, friendly, have great suggestions. Try the breakfast tacos, a chicken fajita omelet, or a breakfast plate of chicharrones.

First time trying out this local, family owned spot. Could be described as a little dive of a restaurant, with some great authentic Mexican/TexMex food. The service was also exceptional, with staff being very attentive and asking us regularly if we needed anything. We will be back! Especially because they serve caldo de res, menudo, pozole everyday and serve the full menu at anytime as well.

This is AUTHENTIC Mexican food! It is a “hole in the wall” kind of place, so that right there tells you that the food is going to be good! You drive up and order from the window. We got menudo, a lengua taco, a chicharron taco and a brisket taco. All portions were generous and the flavor was amazing!
