1. We had to wait a bit for our table. It felt like the restaurant was understaffed as the bartender was having to do multiple jobs, serving the bar, being hostess and server for the main seating area.
2. The steak was undercooked. I expected medium rare and it was rare to blue. At the table next to me I saw that the pork was also woefully undercooked, probably dangerously so.
3. A couple of the toilets didn’t flush. The automatic sensor on two of the toilets seemed to be broken.
4. The server bringing the food to the table didn’t seem to be happy at all, and this translated to his service. He didn’t know who had what (party of two) which is a small thing but for the price I’d expect that somewhere it was written down who ordered what. Could be a process issue, but given the server’s general demeanor, I assumed he didn’t care.
On the positive side, most of the staff were excellent, the drinks were good the scallops and jumbo shrimp appetizer were tasty.
However given the negatives, I doubt we’ll be back.
We chose a bottle of wine (a very nice Cabernet). The 980 offers a variety of well priced bottles. The food was incredible… The filet mignon was perfect (ordered medium rare). The onion soup and the wedge salad (quite large) were delicious. The wild salmon was very tasty and the side dish we chose (Potato puree) was large enough for two people.
Having read some of the negative reviews, we came in looking for any… THERE WERE NONE !!! What a wonderful experience we had… A big thank you to Emily, Harmony and the kitchen staff !!!
I have zero clue what people are saying on here about bad experiences. Staff was amazing, friendly, and quick to respond, checked on you the correct amount, and all have absolutely amazing life stories. If people take the time to enjoy the food, atmosphere, and be friendly to the staff, I promise this is worth the trek to Cripple Creek.
Came in with my aunt and uncle 2/22 for a 6pm dinner.
We all had steaks and considering the price we expected to be impressed. The steaks was no better than you can get at Texas roadhouse to be honest. I can get a bigger steak with 2 sides for a third of the price I payed for a 12oz ribeye which was around 95$
Total bill for 3 people around 400$
We stayed at the chaminox casino and was surpised there is no direct indoor route to there very own restaurant. Very odd for a brand new hotel/ steakhouse. Oh well I guess

I was absolutely blown away by my experience here. Everything from the atmosphere to the food and service were top notch!
980 prime is level of style and class you would expect to only find in Vegas. This is definitely Colorado’s best kept secret!
Special thanks to Mark, Stewart and the Executive chef Raul for ensuring everything was phenomenal from start to finish.
Don’t wait, go checkout this incredible gem yourself!
When a hostess briefly asked how our food was, we shared our disappointment, but our server never returned to the table afterward until it was time to leave. The steak was mediocre at best, and even the $15 baked potato failed to impress.
While maybe ordering seafood in Colorado wasn’t the best idea, we certainly didn’t expect to spend our anniversary sick. For a restaurant charging these prices, the quality and service should be far better. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend dining here.
