I love Tin’s Tea Pot! You get this quality food for this price point. I’ve been here a few times and was heartened to see it busier than usual. They totally deserve it!
We ordered their vegetable dumplings, a veggie lo mein dish and their rice soup which when combined with the plant was AMAZING!

We came here before 11am shortly after opening on a Sunday and there was no wait. We decided to try their entrees and skipped the dimsum.
The salted fish chicken eggplant claypot took a long time to come, it came at the end and the eggplants were burnt on the bottom and the skin was tough to chew. It was also submerged in a lot of oil but tastewise it was okay.
The satay beef chow fun was good, it was actually runny and not too salty. The pineapple was a nice touch, we just weren’t a big fan of the red bellpeppers.
Japanese style beef cubes with fried silken tofu was really good, the sauce is slightly sweet and savory and not too salty. We really liked this one.
All 3 dishes were in the low $20s, and more than enough for 3 people. We had leftovers to go.
There is free dessert! Choice is mango pudding or grass jelly.

Our go to when in the area. House made spicy sauce compliments the food well. Dim sum ordered by marking the menu and then it comes out hot and fresh. Never feels like its been sitting for a prolonged amount of time.
Tea is charged per person. Plenty of parking and place is always tidy.

One of the best dim sum places to dine at! Had so much food that filled me up. The chicken feet was so tender and soft, the tripe was perfectly seasoned, siu mai was packed with meat, Chinese broccoli had a good amount of sauce to season without being overwhelming, yellow glass noodles were delicious and delightful, eggplant was crispy on the outside yet soft, airy and fluffy on the inside, but the piece de resistance was the accoutrements of Chinese mustard which cleaned my sinuses (a little goes a long way) and the chrysanthemum jasmine tea was excellently strong and fragrant while not being too overpowering, being a great palate cleanser to wash down the delightfully fatty and savory dishes. I would recommend the chicken feet so highly! Compliments to the chef because I’m coming back here again for not only the food but the Michelin starred experience I had!!!

The food here is the real deal, great Cantonese food. However, the service can be bizarre. A party of eight of us had a table reserved, one of the big round tables in a separate room. It was going to be a big meal and a big check for the restaurant. On my way into the room, I saw a several small plastic containers of hot sauce on a table. I took a couple of containers since my parents and I always ask for hot sauce at Chinese meals and have to wait for the sauce. I was about to sit down in the room, and a staff person in his 30s confronted me, telling me that the hot sauce was for takeout and that he wanted the containers back! These were small containers that any Mexican taco shop has for folks to fill with salsa. I was just astounded that the guy would argue with me about it, but sure enough, we had a small discussion about it, he continued to press his case until I said “Dude, are you really going to argue with me about two small containers of hot sauce?” Then he seemed to recover himself, realize how ridiculous he was being, and left. Maybe he realized that the entire party of eight was staring at him. Later, a female staff member brought out a dish, and this same guy rushed over and told her to take the dish back. Maybe it was the wrong dish. This particular male seems to be in charge of the restaurant; he needs to treat his customers better and not argue over something this small. The resulting meal was fine; but it’s bad experiences like this that you remember.

So many vegetarian options. This is the best Chinese food in Hayward, and customer service is exceptional.

I came here on my way back home to LA on a crazy rainy trip and it was just what I needed. I wasn’t hungry, however I just wanted to have dim sum and the atmosphere was really cozy and welcoming. For a weekday lunch it was a good amount of people here. Everyone was smiling and laughing, the food was wayyy better than LA dim sum, you can’t even compare it. The staff was very sweet! I would have eaten more and looked at everyone’s dishes which looked and smelled delicious. 10/10 experience!!

the staff here are amazing i literally lost a $100 bill and they found it and called me. not many people or restaurants would do that. i am so grateful. PLEASE COME HERE. they are so kind and welcoming and the food is amazing especially the cilantro rice roll! also one of the men working there is very educated about dietary restrictions.
i love dimsum restaurants and chinese restaurants. im chinese so ive been to a LOT. tin’s teapot bistro is one of my favorites because of the customer service alone. i have felt very welcomed here and they are very hospitable to anyone that walks in the door.

Excellent Cantonese style dishes that are prepared quickly. The salt & pepper pork chops were especially good. Eggplant was a little too oily and seafood in XO sauce was rather mild (menu said “spicy”). If they could pay more attention to service, this place would be 5 stars.
