It was overall a good experience! My only advice is to get there early as a line can form. I arrived around 5pm and had an hour and a half wait. The crabs were good but just not my taste as they were warm. However their BBQ ribs and Mac and cheese was the bomb. Very nice people and good ambience. I would recommend for people to check out their charcuterie section as the cheese and ham were good.

Brought some co-workers for lunch and still my choice for a reasonable buffet with good, variety.

Weekday, around 11 so, able to get table.

As mentioned, for the price, a very good deal.

2023:
Weekend day trip and price was about $27 (?) .

Not crowded even at noon and for the price, I still think it was very reasonable.

My favorites were the:
Fish (Cod)
Ribs
Sausage
Sweet Sour dish w/veggies

Went for 2nd round that I didn’t even have room for the tempting desserts.

Service was . Staff basically left you alone to enjoy your meal but was readily available if you wanted something.

Considering the very reasonable price for the choices, I still believe they deserve a 5-star rating.

Tip: Expect more crowds and a wait during peak days/times.

Lodge Casino’s Buffet restaurant. Smaller in size compared to Vegas hotels’ buffet restaurants BUT (!!!), variety of food is almost at par. Price is sooo reasonable, I think it was $14/person. Mexican, Meat section, Chinese, Italian, Seafood, Salad bar, Fruit and Dessert areas were constantly replenished that everything was almost always fresh and hot. Loved the BBQ ribs, Spicy Fried Chicken, Roast Pork Loin, Spicy Beef, Mac and Cheese and the Boston Blue Fish. And…. those are the only ones I had and there were still a lot more that equally looked appetizing. The area itself is well-lit, clean up is fast that there is never a wait for a table considering they were about 85% full the whole time we were there. Table service is solicitous and prompt without feeling rushed. Visited on a weekday. Will definitely be back for more gastronomic happiness.

The all you can eat crab legs are great for the price. However, it seems as though all the other dishes are neglected, as they know the crab legs are more than likely the main focus of patrons. Sub par for the price.

Desserts were rather delectable.

We have been visiting Blackhawk 2-3 times a week for years and the Lodge used to be one of our favorite spots. The food used to be good and affordable, the staff USED to be friendly. Not anymore! Food is mediocre, and way overpriced! $207 for 3 people to eat a small buffet is unbelievable! The last 3 times we came, the host and manager went out of their way to be snarky and rude! The way I look at it: we spent A LOT of money at the Lodge, and now we will not be going back! Its absolutely horrible now! Sad but true!

The crab legs are so good. But I think what matters most is the service!!! What a great customer service staff! Super friendly and always helpful. Food is good, lots of options!

if your not seated by 815 leave, they pull all the food at 855pm. the don’t work to fill the crab legs after 845, don’t bother wasting your money, food is always cold, overcooked, and dry!!!!!

Season’s Buffet at The Lodge is just so good. Save yourself some serious money by going to lunch vs. dinner Monday-Friday 11-3. The salmon here is beyond delicious and I love to get it with their creamy mashed potatoes and fantastic mac and cheese. The chile rellanos and make your own taco option are fantastic. They have different sections with different cuisines of different ethnicities. I also really enjoy the dumplings in the Chinese section. I love their dessert selection.u favorite is the chocolate torte cake. Love the tiny size desserts they offer so you don’t feel guilty if you try a few. The help there has been tremendously friendly every time we visited. The ladies who take your money up at the front are always so sweet, love to make us laugh and are a great attribute to have working at Seasons. Thank you Seasons.

So, a couple things…If management decides to read this. The crab legs are a plus considering most places up there have stop offering them as all you can eat
The hot bar, prime rib, chicken etc etc. Is ok about a 3. Selection is average and the food quality is fair. Most stuff is overcooked.
Your salad selection is beyond bad. To have these tiny bowls with some wilted lettuce and vegetables is unacceptable. You’ve already figured out how to serve the hot food with employees rationing the meat so you should consider doing the same thing with the salad. You can either have a paper sheet that guest fill out at their table and have a salad made to order or have somebody behind the glass making plates. Either way something needs to change with the vegetarian side of the buffet .
Lastly, the dessert bar. Uhhhhhhhh this is the area that is just left open and exposed to everybody to touch multiple things and decide what they do or don’t want. I saw people picking the desserts up, bringing it to their masks to try to smell it and then setting it back down and grabbing something else. Now I’m not suggesting somebody cut each slice of pie but that area should definitely change. Also, no ice cream.. Seriously you can have the self-serve machine there again with a staff member making cones or bowls and adding toppings for the guests. C’mon, ICE CREAM .
Otherwise, service is attentive, Pho is good wait times aren’t bad. It does fill up fast so just be aware of that with the capacity restrictions.

I would have given this 5 stars across the board if it wasnt for the last morning we ate there one of the stations was like warm at best. Unfortunately it was the eggs, waffels, denver eggs, and potatoes. Some of my favorite. I will still reccomend it because when we got there at opening time, 8am, everything was delicious. For 12.99 a person an all you can eat buffet for breakfast is unbeatable. I’m pretty sure I ate my weight in bacon alone so… theres that

Line was long and understandable because of the buffet and crab. Make sure to get a player’s card before you pay for a $10 difference on the price. The price is 59.99 or $49.99 depending if you have a player’s card.
It says all-you-can-eat crabs but when you pay it says 1lb crab. The other food in the buffet is so-so, or it’s okay.
