Went here for a fun
birthday. There are no surprises. Food is what you’d expect. Drinks are a little watered down. But you’re in it for the onion volcanoes and the shrimp tossed into your mouth and the fun of it all. It delivers there.

One of my go to’s , ol faithful
Consistent good hibachi inside of the hotel so there’s parking and it’s validated, not always seen in Cambridge! Drinks not too fancy but there’s a drink for everyone
Lunch specials , take out and regular seating if you don’t desire hibachi

Typical hibachi food cooked in front of you by a chef on a large grill in a Marriott on the Charles River. Chefs always do a good job making it fun and cooking the food. Expensive $21 for a piece of chicken. $30 for a chicken breast and 6 shrimp. Worst part which many people complain about in reviews, is the aggressive wait staff who at the end put an 18% TIP on the bill. If anyone from Bisuteki or Marriott is reading this, that should stop as I am not sure it is legal. We were a party of 3. My TIP was between 15% and 18% and $2 below their 18% auto TIP and the asian lady came running after us as we were walking out “…you leave more money…!”. Have never seen this. I calmly told her no, that is my TIP and after the 3rd time she scrunched her eyes and walked away. Have NEVER seen that but you see it in more than a few other reviews. Really they would get better reviews (and TIPS) if they stopped this aggressive behavior.

my husband and I went to Bisuteki on valentines day. the waitress was fine. what I didn’t like or appreciate is the waitress telling everyone at the table (I’m sure they were instructed by the mgr) that we couldn’t order dessert because it was too busy. I know it was valentines and it was busy, but to tell your customers to hurry and go? not those exact words, but that was the impression. my husband and I were not planning on having dessert anyway, but to actually tell that to customers? we (the 5 people at the table) were asked more than once if we were done. I feel like bisuteki only cares about making money and not having patrons enjoy their dinners–without being rushed. one of my prior visits we were actually told to hurry and leave because they were busy. nobody at my table that time and nobody at my table on valentines day were there long..just long enough to eat. I’ve been going to bisuteki for over 40 yrs. Pricing has gone up extensively since then. I still go because I love the food, but they should really treat their customers better. The service was better 40 years ago.

Terrible Attitude Sours the Entire Meal at Bisuteki
My recent visit to Bisuteki was, unfortunately, defined by the shockingly poor service we received. While I generally try to find the positives, our experience with our waitress made it nearly impossible to enjoy the evening, and management needs to take serious note of their front-of-house attitude.
From the moment she approached our table, our server gave off an aura of complete disinterest, bordering on outright hostility. It felt as though placing an order or asking a simple question was a massive imposition on her time. She snapped short, unhelpful answers, never once offered a smile, and actively avoided eye contact. It’s rare to encounter such a blatant display of bad attitude in a service industry setting, and it truly cast a shadow over our entire meal.
To compound the problem, the food was disappointing. I ordered the chicken, and it was so hard and dry. Paired with the frosty reception from our waitress, this meal was not worth the price or the time.
A good restaurant experience starts and ends with friendly, attentive staff. Until Bisuteki addresses the attitude problem—specifically the extreme lack of professionalism from their serving team—I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment. There are plenty of places where the chicken is cooked properly and the staff actually seem to want you there.

Our hibachi chef and the food were good, so I’ll give them that. However, the front staff and our server were extremely rude. The front staff sounded like we were begging to eat for free. There was no welcoming or smiling when we walked in; instead, they were on their phones. On top of that, they forced us to pay an 18% tip for that kind of service. Mind you, we were only three people. If you want your day to be ruined, please come here.

Nice experience. the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed, the service was good and the food good. Fun experience when you are with a group. Parking was free which is incredible for Cambridge. If you are 5 or more look at your receipt carefully they add 18% gratuity to your bill and the receipt still prints out recommend tips. As a past waiter I believe in tipping but 18% is plenty for this place!

The food was mediocre at best and the service was terrible. They add 15% gratuity to your bill but will also chase you out the door if you don’t leave them another added tip. If the added tip isn’t 20% they argue with you. The worst dining experience I have had in years. Definitely will NOT go back.

The Boston area has many delicious sushi restaurants…Bisuteki is not one of them. After a long day, we decided to try this restaurant as it was conveniently situated in the hotel we were staying in.

The restaurant is large with 4 or 5 hibachi tables at the center of the room and standard seating around the perimeter. At 7pm on Friday night, we were one of three standard tables seated. Our waitress seemed to be in a rush to turn over our table and get us to leave. I will say that the other staff we encountered were delightful.

The food and drinks were disappointing, to say the least. Most flavors were off-putting, especially the dressing included with the house salad. It had a strong vinegar taste which overpowered the rest of the ingredients. Unfortunately, the drinks were very weak. One thing I really did enjoy was the Black Widow Roll; it was beautifully presented, tasted fresh, and I loved the added crunch of the sweet potato. Our bill was high and while I don’t mind paying for good quality, I think Bisuteki was overpriced for what we were served.

I would recommend dining at another sushi restaurant in the area as they are easy to find.

Great experience!
The chef went above and beyond to make my birthday boy happy (lighting the fire on our table several times for his delight). Food was prepared just right and tasted delicious (meat was very tender, scallops melted in our mouth, chicken, rice and veggies were cooked right). We were full and had plenty of leftovers for the next day.
I recommend you book an earlier time (5PM), as it gets crowded in the evening.
Only letdown, for me, was the atmosphere music (surround sound had technical issues); but it was low volume, so it wasn’t a deal breaker.
We all plan to return for another meal there soon.
