Went in for brunch and had such a great experience. The food was flavorful, fresh, and exactly what you want from a Mexican brunch perfect portions and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it a great spot to enjoy a slow brunch.

My server, Chris, was amazing friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without rushing us. He gave great recommendations and really elevated the whole experience.

Definitely coming back and highly recommend this place for brunch if you’re craving great Mexican food and even better service ✨

Love the brunch and lunch!
I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s always great. The service is excellent, and the food & drinks keeps surprising me in the best way.

For lunch, my favorites are the tamal, panela tiradito, street corn croquettes, sopes & discada … all so flavorful and unique. For brunch, I had a mazapán coffee (asked for it not too sweet and it was perfect) plus the maíz pancakes with guava butter, which added such a fun, unexpected twist to traditional pancakes.

I truly love the food concept here , it feels so fresh and different for Laredo. The outdoor seating is such a bonus .

Casa Azul has officially become one of my favorite gourmet Mexican dining experiences in Laredo. The attention to detail, creativity, and depth of flavor in every dish was truly outstanding.
We started with the aguachile de pulpo, and it was phenomenal — perfectly tender octopus with a bright, fresh kick, elevated even more by their salsa tatemada, which added an incredible smoky richness. It set the tone for an amazing meal.
The short ribs with jamaica and popcorn flowers were unforgettable. Fall-apart tender, beautifully balanced, and plated with care. But the surprise standout was the queso panela with black salsa — tangy, slightly sweet, and absolutely addictive. The toasted leeks on top added the perfect texture and flavor contrast.
And the jocoque with charred beets… simply to die for. Creamy, bold, and full of character — one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave.
Casa Azul delivers thoughtful, elevated Mexican cuisine with flavors that feel both inventive and deeply rooted. If you’re looking for a place in Laredo that goes above and beyond traditional dishes and delivers a true gourmet experience, this is it.
Highly recommend — can’t wait to go back.

Wow! What a great experience! The food, service, and atmosphere is top notch!

The owner herself is often there to make sure everything runs smoothly and checked in with our table to make sure our meal was going well.

We had the sopes, guacamole, and the mixed steak plate with ribeye, sausage, and bacon! So good!

Great service, Amador is awesome!!! The main dishes were fantastic. Will be back!

My only feedback would be the poblano soup, it was not good. It tasted like it had been stored for a while, could not take more than one bite. Other than that, everything else was great!

From the moment you walk in, this restaurant wraps you in a feeling of comfort and joy. The ambiance is inviting without trying too hard, and there’s something about the atmosphere that just feels right. The décor is one-of-a-kind: creative, thoughtful, and full of personality. Every detail seems to tell a story, and it all comes together in such a unique and beautiful way.
The food? Incredible. Every dish is flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in every bite.

All in all, it’s more than just a restaurant. It’s an experience. One that makes me genuinely happy every time I go. Highly recommend!!

Tried Casazul for brunch and it absolutely delivered. We ordered the huevos rancheros with a horchata latte and the blueberry pancakes paired with their house coffee, and everything was on point.

The rancheros were rich and comforting without being heavy perfectly balanced sauces, great texture, and clearly made with care. The horchata latte was a standout: smooth, lightly sweet, and not overpowering, which is hard to get right. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy, flavorful, and felt homemade in the best way, and the house coffee was solid and complemented the meal well.

The vibes are very Santa Fe, MX, but with a strong local, neighborhood feel warm, inviting, and relaxed without trying too hard. On top of that, the service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming.

Casazul feels like the kind of place you’ll keep coming back to… great food, great atmosphere, and great people. Definitely worth checking out for brunch.

The restaurant decor & atmosphere were delightful as it was not crowded when I stopped by. I ordered several appetizers to taste, and each had unique flavors as they were not your typical “TexMex” dishes.
