The shrimp dumplings are savory, though I recommend eating them quickly or else the rice skin will lose its soft texture. We did not grab any of the available sauces while we were there, but the flavor was excellent regardless.
The shrimp + beef dumplings have liquid in them, so eat them in one bite as they will burst and leak liquid. They’re not too big, so eating them in one bite is not difficult.
The chicken curry has just a slight spice to it, and has a very nice blend of flavors. The main ingredients I can identify are carrots, chicken, basil, and star anise (don’t shovel everything into your mouth or you’ll chew on the stars).
Overall the flavor is very good, and the restaurant owner and cashier were patient and kind. The restaurant was kept clean and the ambient music was a good volume.
Highly recommend to try this place out.
We especially loved the Chả Cá Thăng Long, Phở Bò Tái Lăn, Nem Cua Bể, and the Bún Chả Hanoi which all flavorful and beautifully prepared. The cozy, dining space and the friendly young lady running the restaurant made the experience even more enjoyable. Parking can be a bit tricky, but they do offer convenient online ordering. Overall, we’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful.
overall, I am quite happy/impress.
The Wonton Noodle soup Hanoi Style was great. I love the noodles and broth. the quail egg was a great burst of flavor. (great after a late night out)
The crispy wontons was actually crispy and good! I love how crispy it was that gives it texture to the meat portion
Sweet chili shrimp pork. Chili sauce on point. spicy but so delicious. had to use the sauce on the xui mai.
Shrimp Xui Mai. above average, probably better than some “dim sum” restaurants but I wish there was more shrimp to it. Still good, and would order everytime I come here.
Hum bao, the only one I didn’t enjoy. the dough was good and so was the meat. I think I am used to another style hence why I am not impress
overall, I would come back to this place. I would want to dine in for the Bun Cha.
(take out doesn’t do the bun cha, wonton noodle soup or beef stew justice)
overall, I would come back. and this place opens early incase you have a late night!
It was wonderful — even though it was cold outside, the restaurant felt warm and cozy, with a very friendly waitress. Within a few minutes, I had a togo box of stir-fried beef with rice and rushed off to work.
I will definitely return to support the restaurant again.
