One of the hardest things to find is an ice cream parlor that sells a no sugar or low sugar ice cream that tastes good. Well somehow this place has it figured out. They offer this Apple Pie ice cream flavor that’ll knock your diabetic socks off.

Honestly I wish I could give a better review but honestly this isn’t worth the money I spent. This is exactly how it was handled to me and I just wish there was obviously more ice cream. They weren’t in busy at all and even seemed like they were training someone.

The Frozen Boulder is one of the best deals in Muncie, but they don’t compromise on a huge selection of ice cream flavors, specialty items, food, and great customer service. I’ve found that in addition to being a great stop after mini golf next door, it serves as an affordable fun trip on its own. They have great hours and prices compared to the chain ice cream places and the staff has always been willing to be patient and helpful. They even went out of their way to come turn on their fire pit just for us one night. Would definitely recommend!

Enjoyed the trip to the Frozen Boulder. We got a brownie sundae. It was a good size, the brownie was warm. Cookie dough crumbles some of the best I’ve had in an ice cream shop sundae. The Ashby’s ice cream was good. Didn’t like they charged 50 cents for an extra cup but understand and respect the decision to cover food and materials costs.

My husband and I made our first visit and unfortunately was not impressed. The taco meat on top of his hot dogs was extremely salty. There was supposed to be cheese and did not add but charged for it. His shake was a strawberry cheesecake shake and unfortunately lacked in flavor. I had the pizza breadsticks, which would’ve been better if the cheese given to me had not been ice cold as if taken out of the refrigerator. I wouldn’t recommend this place because quality of food did not match price. The golf and batting cages would be worth the trip though. I would just go elsewhere to eat. This is just our opinion though.

Our first visit there since the name change. The outside area was nicely sat up. The neon lighting very pretty. The staff was friendly and helpful. My husband ordered a strawberry cheesecake shake and I had a lemon cheesecake shake. I ask him how his shake was and he said good but a little weak. I thought my lemon shake was very weak in lemon cheesecake flavor but it was ok. We would have paid more for better taste. The place was fairly busy and one couple was sampling flavors. Maybe we should have sampled before ordering.

I did take one star off because I don’t like places where the cashier asks if you are going to give a tip. I feel like that should be voluntary, not put on the spot about it. Customers are already paying a bit markup for the ice cream.

One of our favorite summer must-haves. They have amazing ice cream with so many flavors. The portions and prices are perfect! We love to go in the evening to enjoy their beautiful outdoor seating and fire place. A definite must for any ice cream lover!
