Horrible experience! If you have the chance to go, do yourself a favor and don’t.
The food was tasteless, it took almost 40 minutes to arrive at the table, it was cold,
the orders were wrong. The waitress didn’t take our orders and came back three times to ask how we wanted them, only to bring them incorrectly.
The service was terrible; they don’t even know the menu. I ordered elote, which is the first item on the menu, and she didn’t know what elote was. They severed us pre made frozen taquitos. They brought the food without utensils, and when we paid, the tip was already included, but the waitress told us that the gratuity wasn’t towards her. It’s definitely a good place with terrible management. They need new cooks and new servers.

I went there during their happy hour. I got their egg roll and gringo taco. To say it nicely it was the most basic taco I ever had even though it looked really nice. The egg roll tasted better than the tacco. Only good thing was service better than the food itself but then again they included 20% tip even it was just me (single person service) not even a group. I do not recommend this place for food even for happy hour.

I have been coming here for years. Never had a bad experience until 09/19. I was at the bar for a little while. I ordered a bite and some drinks then ordered a Crunchwrap to go. BIG MISTAKE. I was given my order and opened it before I left. All looked well until I got the food home. The cook completely burned the other side and of course this was not the side presented when opening the box. I really can’t believe they served this BS knowing it was burnt. Nobody likes wasting money. Unacceptable.

This place was introduced to me by a good friend of mine and we have been here about three times since. I absolutely love this place!!! The drinks are amazing, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is so relaxing and cozy. The staff are top notch, I would highly recommend this place.

Bartender was not nice on the 2nd floor. 2.28.26. Firday night around 11pm
There were 2 bartenders while the one was working and making drinks.
The other bartender Kept telling us she was busy. However she started changing the trash and doing everything but take our order. We waited and waited.
This was not a good experience.
The feeling from the bartender was un welcoming. IT WAS AS IF SHE DIDNT WANT TO WAIT ON US. AND WHEN SHE DID SHE WAS NASTY. WE PAID FOR OUR DRINKS.
It was not nice.
There are no stars for how she treated two paying customers.

This was a huge disappointment. The prices listed online were lower than what we were charged in the restaurant, which is misleading and the manager declined to honor the website prices. The queso came out with a film on top and tasted more like hot cheese whiz than real queso. None of our tacos were made correctly, and when we asked about it, the staff didn’t seem to know what went wrong. We also never received silverware until we asked, and our server didn’t seem familiar with the menu. Service was also super slow even though the place was empty. Totally unorganized and horrible experience. Will not come back.

The gringo tacos were delicious, the watermelon margarita was great. The empanadas were okay. They could have been seasoned more. Overall the waitress was nice, the service was fast, and we didn’t have to wait very long for food and drinks. We sat upstairs on the rooftop patio which was really nice. I would go back again

La Roca is an absolute gem in the heart of Manayunk. This place is truly a neighborhood staple, and it’s easy to see why the moment you walk in. The aesthetic is eclectic, funky, and incredibly welcoming—such a fun vibe that sets the tone for a great meal.
Our server, Lindsey, was fantastic from start to finish. She gave spot-on recommendations, especially the chicken tacos and strawberry margaritas. Both were excellent—the tacos were flavorful and perfectly prepared, and the margaritas? Mucho delicioso.
Lindsey checked in often without ever being intrusive and made sure we were taken care of the entire time.
Could not recommend this place enough. Will definitely be returning!

I went and ate at this establishment Saturday. I had the most wonderful server, and the food was top notch. People in Manayunk complain about everything, there is absolutely nothing about the service here that deserves less than 5 stars. I hope my waitress, Riley, knows she made our night so much better. Best place for dates, parties, and margs! Thanks for having us! Will definitely be back for more good times!
