Its a halal Bangladeshi restaurant. We ordered naan, rice and chicken korma and the flavor was just amazing. The taste of the chicken was much better than any other Indian restaurant in Toronto. We were really happy after getting such food in this small town. A must visit place if you want deshi taste in Owens town.

Very disappointed. Food quality was adequate but the amount of food provided for a dinner of 3 pathetic, spent $100 with poneer makhani added. 8 tiny pieces of cubed chicken in the butter chicken and the poneer makhani had only 7 small cubed pieces of the cheese in the sauce. Sauces seemed watered down. Only two pieces of naan bread. I guess they didn’t want to prepare more food??? Barely enough food to feed us, where buying Chinese takeout you have food for days. 1st timer and last timer. Terrible value. No wonder the restaurant was empty at 8pm on a Friday night.

We were visiting Owen Sound and after having tried other cuisines, we tried the Curry House. Thanks to my mother’s need for Indian taste.
Given our natural affinity for higher spice levels, the food here was very mild. In fact, almost sweet. As if sugar had been added to the mix.
If one ignored this, the food was good. The overall texture pleasing. The portion sizes adequate. Even though we ordered take out, the food was still piping hot when it reached out door. It would have been nice if they served butter naans instead of having only plain naans. The plain rice with the fried onions that came with the tadka deal was super awesome.
Overall, a good culinary experience dar away from home.

Wonderful Indian cuisine, some of the best I’ve ever had. Very nice place. Cozy atmosphere and lovely friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend it and go back. We got the dinner for two and there was ample food and left overs. The butter chicken and masala were to die for.
We left feeling full, satisfied and that we you great value. Finding parking isn’t too hard.

The Curry House is back!
After the tragic passing of Sherif last year, the food quality really did take a hit, unfortunately. I ordered a couple of times shortly after to support but haven’t ordered in probably 8 months.
I thought it was time to try again and wow, what a turnaround. The butter chicken regained its great flavour and consistency, the beef vindaloo was spicy and savory and the garlic naan was just outstanding.
Im so happy as I’m sure everyone is about the progress in the case against those involved in Sherifs passing. I’m also excited my favorite Indian restaurant is back to serving great flavour again. If you haven’t eaten here in the last 6 months, you need to give it another go!
RIP Sherif, justice is being served for your family and the entire community, while your legacy lives on through your amazing food!

The place in itself was okay, but the food was terrible. Everything was liquified by adding water to food items. The Nans were frozen and were just heated up and cut in slices. The food literally looked bad and tasted the same.
I would have rather eaten at home rather than going to this place. I have pictures to support my claims.

A great little spot right downtown! The atmosphere is average but the food is great. The owner is a wonderful fella with a great demeanour, I just wish that the naan bread was fresh… Reasonable priced and ample parking. You have to try the mulligatoni soup
