The Somy
We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Riviera by the Nile, and it was truly exceptional! The ambiance by the river set a perfect backdrop for the evening. The staff surprised us with a beautifully crafted birthday cake, adding a personal and thoughtful touch. The food was outstanding—especially the appetizers, which were bursting with authentic Italian flavors. Every dish we tried was fresh, well-presented, and delicious. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience with top-notch Italian cuisine, Riviera by the Nile is a must-visit!

The ravioli and calamari were okay; however, this restaurant honestly had the most careless and worst tiramisu I have ever had. It was not properly soaked and came with a poor-quality cream. Considering the quality of the food, the prices felt unjustifiably high.
We chose to dine at the hotel again because we were very satisfied with our first evening at 8 restaurant , but the second night was a major disappointment because of Riviera.
The wine selection was also quite limited. Additionally, the overall atmosphere did not match the standards expected from a Four Seasons restaurant. Guests dressed in tracksuits and sneakers were allowed inside, which negatively affected the dining experience. The table setting was also disappointing, with runners used instead of proper white tablecloths.

The service was great and the views amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the bursts salad and the dessert. Unfortunately the pasta and risotto was lacking – in flavour and texture.

I have been twice to this restaurant, accompanied by guests each time, the food was excellent, carefully prepared by the Italian chef, whom we met.
I consider the food to be modern Italian cuisine.
I wish if the management could consider adding one or two classic Italian plates.
The service is absolutely great and staff are very efficient and friendly.

The “POLLO, MAIS E PEPERONI” dish is absolutely exquisite. One of the best chicken dishes I’ve had on this Earth in my travels. The name and menu description do not display its creativity and depth of flavour. I recommend leaving the red pepper/onion sauté alone as it overpowers the deep flavours of the chicken and its sauces. The ultimate umami experience when leaving the pepper out. 12/10, Chef Hanaa. Excellent, thoroughly attentive and subtle service. Romany was a delight.
