1. Server very polite, good eye contact, pleasant demeanor, checked on us frequently, enunciated well, and timely. Usually most fail this area including American cuisines.
2. Shrimp tacos, chicken tostados well prepared . What does that mean? Rice not soggy nor over cooked. Chicken freshly cut diced not steam table. Sufficient shrimp in every bite. Wraps thin and fresh not thick, dry, stale. Different foods separated distinctly on plate for presentation not as if spooned from a mass steam table.
3. Dishes had distinctly separate and different flavors and textures. This means not all components cooked into a mushy mish mash, made different items seem more fresh and identifiable from each other, neat presentation.
Would visit again and hope for more of the same.
PS Sunday buffet brunch available too. See photos.
G is friendly, attentive, and incredibly respectful. He knows his guests so well that I hardly even need to order anymore — he simply waves, I take my seat, and within minutes my meal arrives hot, fresh, and exactly the way I like it. That level of consistency and care is rare and worth celebrating.
The food itself is always excellent: flavorful, beautifully prepared, and served piping hot. The chips come perfectly crisp every time, and G never lets the salsa run low — a small detail, but one that makes the experience feel complete.
If you’re looking for a place where the staff cares, the service shines, and the food is consistently top‑notch, this restaurant is truly a gem. G deserves special recognition for making every visit exceptional.
The space looks great. If you’ve got a large party, this is just the place to host family, friends or a work-get-together.
Even though I was getting it to-go, I was greeted at the door and my order taken quickly enough. Although the taco was tasty, the toppings and meet were packed with the hard shell. So, when I got back home 15 min away, the tacos were soggy and fell apart. I think if the hard shell were packed separately it might have been better.
But, I loved the atmosphere, and know if I had stayed to eat, everything would’ve been perfect.
Recommend to anyone wanting their brunch fix with a Mexican twist. You can’t beat it as the price is cheaper then some individual meals around town.
They serve authentic southern Mexican foods as well as many other common options and alternatives. There are a few specialty dishes from their native area you may not have heard of before such as their street corn; many people fall in love with that one. The place is huge with several different types of seating areas; a couple of them are isolated and can really serve sizable gatherings / meetings / events very well.
The “eh”: my enchilada that I ordered wasn’t bad but didn’t wow me with its taste either. It tasted like the same enchilada I have gotten in dozens of mexican places before.
The bad: Rice, beans and salsa were all pretty flavorless. My wife (who does not like anything spicy at all) had to add salsa to her food to give it some flavor but she said it didn’t really help.
Everything else about this place was terrific, and I really wanted to like it because they are just a 2 minute drive from work so I could go for lunch regularly (prices were very reasonable as well). But the food was so flavorless I don’t see myself going back. Your tastes may vary, so I would say give them a shot at least.
