Very good buffet. Nice atmosphere, nice people in here.
I liked the chickens they had from the tandoori and the Tikki Masala. The curried goat was excellent. I got 2 helpings of it. 2 rices. Give this place a shot I believe it’s the best in Indy. I haven’t gone here before if it was even in business 3 years ago plus or not. I was also very relieved when I did find out they had bathrooms as well as the sign up front said they didn’t.

This is a must stop in and enjoy the experience here at The Clay Oven!! The food was out of the world. Service was amazing. Last but not least the water that is served is filtered on ice and literally refreshing.

The staff at this place are amazing. They are always friendly and very personable. They have a small buffet on the weekends for brunch. They have the greatest options even if you’re not there for the buffet.

Clay Oven is the ABSOLUTE BEST Indian food in the state! We go frequently for the lunch buffet (now available Thursday through Sunday). Their regular items (Chicken Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, and Goat Curry) are always amazing. The owner, and chef, frequently rotates in new items that are fragrant and delicious (Today was Eggplant Bhartha and Aloo Mehti). This family run restaurant is a cozy, warm, must for anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine. In true Indian fashion there are many Vegetarian (and even Vegan options). 10/10. Fully recommend!

This was my first time eating at Clay Oven. The owners were so sweet and friendly. The food was AMAZING! There were 3 of us and we had a huge variety that we ordered. Appetizers included chaat, vegetable samosas and paneer with chutney. Main dishes included aloo, chili paneer, chicken 65, vegetable biryani, spinach dishes (I don’t remember the names) and naan. Each dish was better than the next. They recently relocated to a different space and it’s very nice. I highly recommend Clay Oven.

They moved from a smaller place. Lots of room in the new place. They are super nice. The server took the time to label my photos so I would know what’s what. Chicken Vindaloo was our favorite. Everything was so yummy. We will definitely be back.

I love butter chicken. If you’re new to Indian food, it’s a good starter dish: tender chicken in a tomato-cream sauce with warm spices that taste like a hug from your mother. I’ve tried it at half the Indian restaurants in the city (plus many more around the country!), and Clay Oven has the best! Their food is consistently delicious, and the owners are absolutely lovely people. I always enjoy talking with them, and their service is superb. The first time I ever came here, I tentatively asked if it was possible to get the garlic naan without cilantro. The owner said “My dear, EVERYTHING is possible.” ❤️ I’ve been hooked ever since!

Food is amazing! Everyone is always friendly and welcoming! We have been coming here now for a few years, and the food is always delicious! Butter chicken is one of our favorites but you can never go wrong with any of the vegetarian options! The garlic naan is a must have with any food choice!

Everything here is wonderful! Highly recommend bringing a group and trying many dishes. There is also a buffet Saturday and Sunday so you can try different items. The owners are so friendly and welcoming, it’s like visiting your grandma with warmer spices one last thing, spicy means spicy!!
