Quietly nestled on a side street in the village, this little gem of a spot has been a favorite of mine for many years. I hosted a few gatherings here in the 90s, have attended other parties here and enjoyed quiet dinners as well; I have never been disappointed.
La Riviera serves up delicious classic Italian cuisine among an atmosphere of vintage charm. Sarah and her team have retained most of the original menu set forth by Tom Riviera over 35 years ago. I recently had one of their specials which was terrific – chicken with spinach and mozzarella, with string beans. The food was fresh and nicely prepared and plated.
Sarah is a pleasure to speak with and she is viewing La Riviera with a fresh outlook as she hopes to host various events here (musical or otherwise) as time marches forward. When you’re planning an evening out, please consider dining here – I believe you will be pleasantly surprised!

A true revived gem! This restaurant brings back the nostalgia of Sunday dinners at an Italian relative’s home. The food is authentic and delicious. The dressing on the family style salad brought back memories of my mom’s simple and tasteful oil and vinegar dressing. The chicken marsala, penne alla vodka, and homemade potato croquettes were all so good and flavorful. The atmosphere is a classic throwback, and Sarah, our server, made us feel very welcomed. So glad this place has been brought back. It’s a definite must try!

Another delicious meal at the Riviera. Great food at an affordable price. The place is so consistent. Old school Italian restaurant. It’s in out the way place but do yourself a favor and find it. You won’t be disappointed.

I am enjoying a delicious dinner of crab cakes and linguine vongole in white sauce. The flavors were wonderful and the chef, Rudy, does a great job with all the dishes. The menu is a mix of classic Italian dishes, as well as delicious specials. Attentive staff, both front and back of house.

Delicious food and friendly atmosphere; lasagna bolognese, scrod special, green beans with Gorgonzola, carrot cake are excellent. Ingredients are fresh and scrumptious; prices reasonable for fine-quality Italian food. My new go-to spot in Pleasantville!

This used to be our weekly Friday night,” let’s celebrate the beginning of the weekend place.”
Under new owners it’s regained its sparkle!
The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is great and affordable, its staff couldn’t be more friendly and accommodating.
Check it out! You can have a conversation! Great to bring kids or catch up with friends.

This is a gem; unbeatable prices for excellent food. Italian classics and then some fresh takes such as the green bean salad with Gorgonzola. The clams oreganata were also out of this world, and the made-to-order chicken parm. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Good music but not too loud. I will be back for the fettuccine carbonara. This is the local hangout of my dreams!
