We had a company dinner here. For a large group the service was on point. A lot of good cocktails but I stick to my old fashion with was very nicely done. I recommend getting the Salted caramel old fashion. For a starter I got Piccolino which is romaine lettuce, mixed organic greens, tomato, red onions, cucumber, balsamic vinaigrette. Very good salad to start off. For my main course I had Lasagna Al Forno a homemade pasta crepe, beef ragu’, ricotta, mozzarella, bechamel, parmesan. It wasn’t huge but very satisfying. For their dessert I went with Torta al Formaggio a homemade ricotta cheesecake. It was really good for being made with ricotta cheese. Place had excellent service, phenomenal food. And a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended this place

First it’s hard to tell where the main door is, we went in through the patio. The waiter was attentive refilling our water often. We got the calamari which was cooked well, the fettuccine and ravioli. The fettuccine had great flavor but only had 3 shrimp and for that price was ridiculous. The ravioli also had little seafood and was undercooked. The tiramusu tasted only like chocolate not expresso. The expresso martini was amazing. For the price we won’t be back, it wasn’t worth the hype.

We came in for our anniversary while we were visiting California. Neither of us had tried this place before and boy were we in for a treat! Shelby was our server and really made the experience unforgettable! Her knowledge of the EXTENSIVE menu and especially the specials, was impressive to say the least. She made us feel extra special on our extra special day. We ate so much food but the dishes were beautiful and delicious to boot! You can’t skip out on the amaro flight or the limoncello reviver martini! Thank you Shelby and the rest of the crew for the impeccable service. We will definitely visit again next time we are in town!

Piccolino’s was recommended by a friend, whom we were visiting, and nearby was Piccolino’s, located in Mussion Viejo, at the Mission Foothill Market Place. Fortunately, we arrived just before the real rush of people as the place filled quickly. This is a white table cloth restaurant, beautifully appointed place, but very friendily staffed. We were attended to by Alfredo (not pictured) but we also had the pleasure of meeting the chef, (pictured). My wife enjoyed a glass of Pinot Cab. and we had a calamari and leeks appetizer ( by the way, their online site has some great photos of their dishes). That green sauce with that bread was outstanding. I enjoyed the fettuccine piccolino… wonderful, outstanding!!… my wife had lobster ravioli, also most excellent, we had a side of sautéed spinach, and we took back to our hotel and order of canneloni’s. In spite of the place being filled, the chef took his time greeting us, taking our questions and making is feel at home. Same with Alfredo, our server. Similarly, he was attending to a number of tables, but was engaging, polite and friendly, also answered our questions. This is a large restaurant yet we received very personal service. Ours was a wonderful experience, definitely at the top of our restaurant list! We are so grateful to our friend who recommended Piccolino’s!

My wife and I really enjoyed eating at Piccolino Ristorante this week. Food, décor, and service were all outstanding.
We are very light eaters so we only split a salad and a pasta dish. The Piccolino salad is a simple salad of little gem artisan organic greens, tomato, white onion, English cucumber, shaved anise, balsamic vinaigrette – but everything was super fresh and sweet with young greens. If all you’ve ever had are salads with tired wilted greens this will be a revelation to you. Excellent.
Our pasta was the Strozzapreti Salsiccia & Funghi, which was a corkscrew pasta, Italian sausage, onion, assorted mushrooms, tomato sauce, touch cream, and pecorino. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce rich but not overwhelming, and the sausage and mushrooms both meaty. Freshly shaved Parmigiana Reggiano cheese was the perfect topping.
Both dishes were split for us, no muss no fuss.
Piccolino has a pretty good wine list that’s priced fairly and has lots of nice bottles under $100. We had a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino that was earthy and elegant that went perfectly with the salad and pasta.
Finally, the service – so good. I loved that the entire staff worked as a well-oiled team, supporting each other in a graceful coordinated fashion. Friendly and knowledgeable, who could ask for more?
Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary and I have to say it was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a while! The service was fantastic and our server, Paulo, was kind, attentive and truly delightful. The food was absolutely delicious. From the pasta, to pizza and dessert, we were blown away. Thank you Piccolino for making our anniversary so special!

Let me tell you about this spot, if I could give 100 starts I would. We recently had our wedding lunch here the food was amazing from the lasagna, pizza to the chicken marsala everything was rich in flavor and my whole family can’t stop talking about it. The best part was the amazing family who own the restaurant, they made sure everything was planned out perfectly and as a bride you know you can get stressed out but katrina went above and beyond to make my day as special and stress free its places like this that make you feel right at home the staff was amazing as well. Thank you so much for making my day so special with your kindness and good good good food !!

My husband and I celebrated his birthday at Piccolino. The staff had our table decorated with birthday decorations and a birthday hat! The food was so delicious. The staff sang happy Birthday to my husband and presented a beautiful dessert with a candle. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The veal osso buco was excellent, but at $70 it felt overpriced—especially since it wasn’t listed on the menu and the price wasn’t disclosed.
