I am a writer for the magazine you advertise in and my publisher compensates me for my photos by offering me many free certificates to your restaurant. I have been receiving them now for over three years and love your food! The problem is that nothing is said on the certificate about any type of restrictions on drinks. The woman working there now and who states she is the manager does not allow an alcoholic beverage to be covered under the certificate. I am not sure of the laws in Georgia about such things as I know of no other restaurants that have such a policy. And I assure you it is very rare that I order a drink ( my hubby has never drank). If she is there she advised all the waiters that the certificate does not cover drinks yet when I go there and she is not there I have no problem at all ordering a draft beer or other cocktail! Also, she is not a very pleasant waitress/ manager and I always hope to find a day to go when she is not there. She has a horrible personality in my opinion and we are always very polite to her! Can you pls advise what your policy is on an occasional beer or wine with your pizza and why this is not covered by your certificates ( which I receive as pay) as writer with the NGM magazine? Pls be discreet as I would not want this to jeopardize my writing position with Mitch Talley in any way. Thank you!

Just got use to going here and loved it , whether we got whole pizzas or slices, but something has lost it’s touch past few weeks, won’t be back for awhile, maybe new transition of owners, heard had same cook , but either way, miss what we really enjoyed. I ended my meal here being pleasantly surprised! It was clean when I came in, well lit, Christmas music playing thigh not too loudly and I was waited on fairly quickly and the waitress was friendly.
Menu has a lot of great choices but here is the one thing that kept me from making this a 5 star: i had asked about the homemade meatballs from their own recipe, wondering what was in them and the waitress was not sure why they had that description, as they come frozen.
So, I changed course and decided to order a Stromboli with sausage, black olives and mushrooms and a half order of garlic knots. The knots came and I was most pleasantly surprised at how great they were and how big the half order was. I could probably just order them and be totally satisfied!
Stromboli came and I was equally surprised with how good it was!
Definitely recommend stopping here for some great food!

We have not been to Johnny’s in a while due to every time we went in there were many uncleared tables and appeared to have a lack of staff. Food was ALWAYS good that was never the problem. We would walk in and there were no clean tables to sit at. We decided to go today. All tables were cleaned. Lots of customers. We sat ourselves and we’re greeted right away. Hubs got 2 slices of pizza that he said we great. Chicken Caesar for me. It was so tasty! I didn’t take my pic until half the salad was gone but it was huge and sooo good! We were very happy with food and service. We will be back soon.

I ordered a medium pepperoni (my baseline for judging a pizza place) good all around! Pepperoni, crust, sauce, and stretchy cheese.. Garlic knots are more like garlic balls but still amazing coated in garlic butter served with a side of sauce.
The meat stromboli was jam packed with wonderful flavor decorated with garlic butter and parmesan.
Is it New York? Debatable

Loved the pizza..it’s was cheesy and floppy just like they are up north
The bruschetta was a little different yet pleasnty pleasing, we ended up taking the topping off and placing it on our pizza. If we lived close (we live in PC) we would come here for the slices. It is nice to have that option as we are a family of 3 and we are light eaters..so the portion was good for us

I started eating at Johnny’s when they had one location on Virginia Ave in Hapeville! We had our second visit to the Jasper location tonight. The pizza I had this evening brought back the memories of those original slices that I ate a few times a week way back then!
