My medium-well selection arrived exactly as ordered, tender and full of flavor, a testament to the kitchen’s consistency and excellence.

The sides and appetizers are equally impressive. The asparagus and broccoli were fresh, vibrant, and expertly prepared, providing the perfect balance to the richness of the steaks. And their steak toppings—especially the sautéed mushrooms—take every bite to another level.

An upscale dining experience where you can enjoy very flavorful options. The price is quite high. I made the mistake of paying a ton for some pasta, and my money would’ve been better spent on a steak. My date enjoyed hers. A solid choice for date night or a special occasion.

Ate dinner with a group of colleagues. Ordered a scotch and found out they were out of that specific brand. The salad with the meal was prepared well with fresh greens and other toppings. Blue cheese dressing was creamy and just enough crumbles to bring the tangyness. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin (medium) and whipped potatoes. The steak was sealed properly and cooked correctly. The potatoes had proper seasoning (nothing extra needed). Server was attentive and provided prompt service. Atmosphere was conducive to have group discussion without needing to talk loudly. I walked from my hotel, so I can’t speak to parking.

You decide. I ordered the Rockets, bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with house made pimento cheese and brisket burnt ends. I tried cutting through them, and the knife cut through the jalapeno, squeezed out the cheese, and stretched the bacon. I couldn’t cut through the bacon. It felt underdone. I removed the bacon and flipped the inside of it up. To me, it looked way undercooked. I pointed it out to my server who showed it to the chef who said, “that’s how its supposed to look.”

I’m not a chef, so I should trust the chef. Does the bacon need a minute more par-cooking? I don’t know. You decide.

The rest of the food was good. Carol the server, was excellent.

Coppermills Steakhouse & Lounge is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Kearney. The atmosphere is warm and upscale without feeling stuffy, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. The steaks were cooked perfectly — flavorful, tender, and clearly high quality — and the sides and drinks were just as impressive.

You can tell they really care about the details, from presentation to customer service. Whether you’re going for a date night, celebration, or just a great meal, Coppermills delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Gerardo was our fabulous server, he completed a wonderful dining experience. We started with the cactus straws they are fantastic! Then a great salad followed by a beautifully cooked steak with the best whipped garlic potatoes I’ve ever had. The Asparagus should not be missed. Then we finished with their amazing bread pudding!
The service was that of a Michelin star restaurant.
This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had.

Great place to eat. They take pride in the food they service you. I have been eating here for year and everything has been fantastic. Steaks and salmon are cooked perfectly. Pastas are delicious and the appetizers are wonderful. Their menu is one of the best menus in Nebraska. They are always adding something new. This is great place to go for drinks too. The bartender Matt makes great drinks and they have a fantastic selection of whiskeys.

Really beautiful place inside. Very loud when full! Ordered the $45 crab cake and it was so salty you could barely eat it. My kid ordered the shrimp Risotto, tasted so lemony you thought they squeezed the whole lemon in in. And I personally had the chicken Alfredo. Chickens was super salty and the pasta had no flavor so if u mixed them it wasn’t bad. We ordered the crap stuffed mushrooms for $20 for appetizers and they came with the cheese so charred it was hard to separate and the flavor was ok. Could get mushrooms from Hyvee for way cheaper and basically taste the same. The restaurant is made to look like a high end place with a mediocre food. I won’t pay $80 for steak if your chef can’t make a simple pasta. And our drinks basically stayed empty most of the night as the manager just tucked his head down like a shy man and walk around the room all night like a lost man. I will most definitely not be eating this place again. The loudness of the place alone is bad enough to make me walk out. The table of 8 of us basically had to yell to have a conversation. Very bad acoustics!
