Came here for a birthday Day dinner & everything we had was delicious. The pear ravioli dish was my absolute favorite. As well as the bacon wrapped crab pieces. The salmon I thought was cooked well but I got mods on them so I made it a litter dryer than it should have been. The chicken dish was better in my opinion. Our server was a young man I forget his name sorry, but he was silly and kept us entertained the whole time .

Loved this place so much! Came for the first time at my husband’s instance. He’s been a few times with friends and I loved it. They had a prefix that night for $35 which included their whole clove of garlic bread (that was truly delicious), an appetizer, an entree, and a small dessert. I got the French onion pork chop and it was just excellent. Cooked well. Great toppings/seasoning. Can’t wait to go back and try more

Great meal! Honestly so many menu options I could have ordered 10 things and been happy with them. Only beef is the old fashioned was served with about 35 ice machine cubes and just watered it down instantly. Stick with the wine and enjoy an amazing meal

Waiter was very attentive. Gentleman had a strong understanding of all the menu items. Bread was served with a roasted garlic and pesto sauce. This tasted amazing.
Entrees tasted amazing. This place is a great find in Cranford.
Tables are covered with a white table cloth that is changed out after every patron is finished with their meal.
Music was very romantic. Loud enough to be heard and muffled everyone else’s conversation. Too soft to hear the actual words. Perfect.
Water glasses kept full. 5 stars.

We haven’t been here in about 15 years. I asked around to local peeps & a lot of them said this was still a good spot, so I figured I’d try it again. I have to say that I was really impressed with the service, the food & the very welcoming staff throughout the restaurant. Loved the olive oil spread for the complimentary bread! The Seafood Combo with spaghetti that I had was spectacular and my friend had the Premium Reserve French Onion Pork Chop which was topped with classic onion soup garlic and Swiss cheese with their highly reviewed Gilroy potatoes.
Our server was “Dana” and she exemplified what that role should be. She was very attentive, offered us reasonable entrees when we asked her, and was never pushy.
She was gracious in allowing us time to chat & you could tell that she was invested in making our dining experience first class.
Everything she suggested was amazing and we will most definitely be back. Even though we like to rotate area restaurants and sometimes not revisit one for over a year, we can make an exception for Garlic Rose.
My only suggestion would be to make some small updates to the aesthetics as the decor could use some sprucing up, in comparison to other establishments in the area. A restaurant this good should also look a little nicer & brighter inside.

If you like garlic this is your place. There are other dishes available that are not dependent on it that are also served here. All are delicious. I’ve dined here multiple times and never left disappointed. I always try different things on the menu and I’ve never been disappointed. The host and waitstaff are friendly and knowledgeable and will treat you like Family.

Came across this restaurant while looking for Italian food & im so glad i found it. The menu has so many delicious options. The apps are great, food is amazing, and atmosphere is so calm and perfect! Our waiter as well as everyone who worked here were very hospitable and attentive. Cant wait to go back lolol

Had a delicious eggplant appetizer and fettucini dinner. Grateful for all of the vegetarian options. My son loved the gnocchi with Italian sausage. My red sangria was one of the best I’ve ever had. Denise is an amazing and attentive server. Highly recommend. Cozy atmosphere too.

Came here for my Dads Anniversy, since the other italian joint we wanted to go to was closed. We heard many good things about this place and said why not. Walking in you are instantly hit with the heavenly smell of roasted garlic that is almost intoxicating. The atmosphere was that of a rustic italian joint that screamed its name “Garlic Rose” with garlic braids hanging from the walls making the dining room feel extra rustic. The food was also amazing as they took out their signature herb oil and a whole roasted garlic head with a side of warm bread. My father got a sausage pasta dish, my sister got the French onion pork chop and i got the seasonal duck. That being said all the dishes were amazing especially the pork chop. My duck was excelent but the side of rice that came with it was beyond bad and was almost inedible to me, it was cold and flavorless. That being said I would come back but avoid the rice at all cost. Honorable mention the Garlic Soup is absolutlely wonderful.
