Went here for dinner and was surprised at how tasty my GF meal was! The atmosphere in the back room is nice – less noisy than the main area. Our waitress Rachel was very nice and accommodating with my Tree Nut and Gluten Allergy. The Chef modified a menu item for me to be GF which was nice – I got the Mushroom Sacchetti. The taste of the Truffle oil sauce with the Risotto was delicious. I did feel really bloated afterwards so I suspect it had either soy or sunflower lecithin in it (heads up if you are sensitive to food/cooking oils). I was shocked that the up-charge to add a few strips of Chicken to my meal was $7.00 especially since it wasn’t a full chicken breast. I would rate the taste of my meal a 9 out of 10! Don’t think I would order it again only because of how I felt right after eating it. He got the Anthony’s Gravy and said it was “meh and that my mushroom sacchetti tasted better than his dish”. The garlic butter they serve with the warm bread he said was delicious too. Glad I gave this new location a try.

The food was truly amazing. 7 of us came for dinner. We each got drinks, shared appetizers, sampled each other’s dinners, and got desserts. Everything was very tasty and prepared perfectly. All 7 of us kept talking about about how delicious everything was. The service was friendly and attentive.
Honestly, the name kind of threw me off. It’s more of a fine dining restaurant than a grill. It’s kid friendly but the atmosphere, service, and food are all beyond what I think of when I hear grill.

First time here during happy hour. I decided to try a Manhattan. And also decided to have some oysters and calamari. The waitress was very professional and did a outstanding job. I would recommend this place to anyone for a happy hour or even for a dinner meal. Happy Hour is 7 days a week.

Decent enough but you can find many other places that are much better. Cocktails were very good. My appetizer I chose the seafood duet, nice size but I expected some garlic or something with the oysters. Dinner I got the steak frites, the New Yorker, it was over done. Dessert was the a chocolate cake, I didn’t finish it. Although not unpleasant it was nothing special either. I can’t see myself going back. Service was very good.

First time at The Grille. Very nice atmosphere and decor. We were seated quickly and our server was very attentive. The menu wasn’t huge, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I started with the New England clam chowder. It was very good and not too heavy with a good amount of clams and flavor. I had the jambalaya, which was presented beautifully and quite spicy, as I was advised by our server when ordering. My son ordered the burger which came over cooked but was still tasty. Overall, a good experience and will most likely visit again.

The lemon sock was pretty nifty.

Been watching the development of this location for quite some time now, since the old 99 closed down, during all the renovations, and now after they’re opened their doors. Needless to say, I was excited to finally get to try out a new spot.

Ordered over the phone, super easy, going with the Fried Calamari and the Wild Mushroom Sacchetti. Luckily I was in no rush as I was told it would take anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes, but hey, they’re still going through their opening pains. Total came to $47, which is pretty darn pricy, but this is a pretty fancy establishment so the curtains match the drapes I guess.

Pickup was also pretty easy, my order already waiting with the hostess when I walked in about 45 minutes later.

Back home I sampled everything I got while it was still as fresh as could be, and boy was I excited for the sit down. The calamari was massive, so much in that pretty big container, and it wasn’t just rings but tons of tentacles too. Lightly crispy, a lovely chew to the octopus, and the lemon chunk they included which is inside a kind of mesh sock, added a nice citric bite to the fried dish. Really thought that mesh thing was cool, such a neat way to keep the seeds from spilling out. I also tried the bread loaf and marinara sauce, which was included in the meal. Bread is pretty simple, nothing to write home about, but the marinara really brings the party. A very nice consistency, good manageable chunks, and very powerful tomato flavor.

Of course that leaves the sacchetti, and that one was no pushover. The sauce was almost as thick as mushroom soup, and with the same flavor too. Very rustic. The beggar man’s purses were stuffed with those roasted mushrooms, cheese, and each one just exploded with savory flavor. Had it been a bit fresher, warmer, I’d imagine this would have blown my socks off. But unfortunately my trip takes too long, and it cooled down a bit more than I would have liked. That said, I was still quite impressed and polished off the entire dish with ease.

Overall I’m very pleased with my selections, the dishes were fantastic, the price is a fair bit higher than my usual Friday dinners, but I can’t say it did not meet my expectations. Scrolling through the more recent reviews I do see a lot of nay sayers about the prices, and I think that’s because of the location, a lot of “common folk” to the area are going to get the wrong impression. It’s right next to a Chick-fil-A for goodness sake, bargain bin chicken, so the idea a “fancy” restaurant is right across the parking lot might confuse them. This isn’t your dad’s Olive Garden guys, if you are coming here, you’d better be ready to shell out. Keep in mind, I don’t work for this place, no affiliation to them, just, take the reviews with a single or few reviews to their account with a bag of salt.

Great food – wait times for food could be shorter. We went for lunch and the place wasn’t packed. The atmosphere is great and the place is really beautiful. We were a table of 3 and ordered 2 apps, a salad with seared tuna, and a burger. It took a little over 45 minutes to get our meal which feels excessive for what we ordered. The wings are perfectly crispy but could use a little more heat for being Thai chili. The eggplant stacker is INDCREDIBLE and we loved it so much we ordered another one to go. Best menu item I’ve had. For wings, a burger, a salad, and fried eggplant I definitely don’t think it should have taken that long but I imagine they’re still working on staffing. We will definitely be back and hopefully things will be a little faster by then 🙂 We all loved our meal and the waitress was super friendly and helpful. Excited to have a nice spot like this in Clifton Park.

Bland and basics poorly executed sums it up.

Sat at the bar, knowledgeable bartender too scared to tell management the vermouth should be refrigerated. Bar was lacking quite a few bottles for this type of establishment. Campari for example.

New England clam chowder, lacked seasoning, served with a thick skin on top from the service window. Clams were tender, however lacking in volume, cod was taking its place.

Oysters- market price- red flag. Set a price. Win some & lose some on cost. If you lose too much, adjust. Server didn’t know where the oysters were from, and whoever shucked them wasn’t skilled. Shell bits & they never scraped the muscle to release the oyster from the shell. Basics.

Shrimp & scallop pasta- described as pan seared, shrimp was tough and the scallops perfect on texture, however not seared. The rest of the dish bland and lacked any seasoning outside of a slight hint of parmesan.
Food service pasta, not made in house.

Chicken sando- juicy chicken, nice crunch. Fries were excellent. Hot honey overpowered all the flavors, needed much more pickle slaw for the vinegar to balance out the sweetness. Basics.

As a new restaurant, I understand the few food choices. However, the food was tasty especially the Wedge Salad, grilled chicken and the Jambalaya. Kudos to the bread, garlic butter and Cesare dressing. I was surprised about the charge for the extra dressing I needed for my large salad. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a children’s menu. The server, Kennedy was amazing! She was professional, polite and attentive.

The Grille has become one of our go-to spots, and a big reason why is the way we’re treated every time we walk in. The food is always outstanding, but what really sets it apart is the hospitality.

T, the manager, is the man. He makes you feel like more than just a table…he remembers you, checks in personally, and goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect. You can tell he genuinely cares about the experience, not just the meal. That level of attention is rare…it makes a great restaurant even better.

We always leave feeling taken care of. Highly recommend The Grille…especially if you’re lucky enough to be greeted by T.

Oh, and check out the happy hour…can’t beat it. Shrimp cocktail, calamari and J&A burger…the best around!
