This restaurant has amazing food. I’ve tried many of the dishes and I’ve narrowed it down to my favorite. Sparkling water with 5 lemon wedges squeezed in the water for a healthy drink. For an appetizer we get the chili chicken. It has a zesty spicy semi sweet flavor and it’s cooked with sautéed peppers and onions, very big appetizer and it’s delicious. For the main course we get butter chicken spicy. The butter chicken has a very creamy, tangy, rich aromatic flavor. I believe they use white and dark meat for the chicken and it’s super tender and flavorful. The butter chicken is served with a separate bowl of fresh aromatic white rice. We also get either fish/chicken curry. The fish is salmon is flaky and very tender same for the chicken just like I described with the consistency for the butter chicken. We also get butter naan, usually 4 orders of it as to dip in the dishes. The naan is cooked to order fresh bread and is piping hot when serves. A lot of currys have either a gravy or sauce so having bread to dip in the sauce is amazing. There are so many other dishes here that are just as amazing. This restaurant is consistent with the food. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Now the next part is the service. All the staff is super attentive and always making sure your glass is never empty. Overall this place gets 5 stars from us all day. My only complaints is I wish they played indian music and I wish they had paper towel in the bathroom instead of a hand dryer. But that doesn’t change how amazing this restaurant is. Saginaw has very few good restaurants even though there is a lot of places to eat and taste of Punjab hits the nail on the head every time. To put it in perspective taste of Punjab is far better than Veedu in Midland. Veedu’s quality has significantly declined in the past year. Taste of Punjab is part of the small handful of restaurants in Saginaw that are 10 out of 10. Other restaurants in the area should come here and take some serious notes on running a restaurant and cooking phenomenal food. We probably eat her once a week and have been for the past year. It’s a shame I waited so long to try this place. 100% recommend.

Absolutely Outstanding – A True Taste of Punjab!

Taste of Punjab delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The food is rich, authentic, and full of bold Punjabi flavors—clearly made with high-quality ingredients and great care. Every dish was perfectly cooked, aromatic, and deeply satisfying.

The service was warm, professional, and welcoming, making the entire visit even more enjoyable. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and has a great atmosphere that’s perfect for family dinners or dining with friends.

If you’re looking for real Punjabi cuisine with generous portions, excellent taste, and top-notch service, Taste of Punjab is a must-visit. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be coming back!

There aren’t enough words to describe just how AMAZING & TASTY this food is!

We wanted to try something new, so we chose the Behl Puri. WOW, glad we did. I’m picky, AF, but how I’ve never known about this before, idk.
It has puffed rice, like rice krispies, cilantro, veggies maybe, chutney, a few peanuts even. So many flavors, little sweet, little tangy citrus.
It’s unlike anythikg else I’ve had, sort of like a drier Indian chevice….
You do need to eat it right away, it wouldn’t be good later due to the puffed rice getting soggy.
But definitely a MUST TRY! Try with mint chutney!
The garlic naan was fabulous! Airy, & light, crispy yet sometimes chewy & moist.

My fav part, my main course, the Chilly Paneer.
Yes that’s how they spell it.

Wow. Full of flavor. Crispy, crunchy outside, with a soft & moist paneer inside. SooOoOoOoo tasty!!! So much flavor!!!

Our waiter brought out some Tikki masala sauce to try, that was really good too!

20/10!!!!!
My favorite Chilli paneer by far ever !
Next I will try their Gobi Manchurian.

Great tasting Indian cuisine. Must try the Poori and Bhatura. The Garlic Naan and Hot Mango Wala chicken is delicious. Most importantly the portion size is really good.

I wish the interior has some bright lights.

Despite the great recommendations we got, we were a little hesitant when we first arrived. The restaurant is very dark inside. There were tiny flies (see photo of one that landed in my water) pestering us while we waited for our food. The food though, was absolutely AMAZING. This was the best Indian food I have ever eaten. The portions were large, the chicken pieces were cooked perfectly. The garlic naan bread was delicious. The attached pictures show how much food was still left on our plates after we were full, plus bowls of rice. We will definitely be back, the next time we’re in Saginaw. We’re looking forward to trying more items on their menu. I highly recommend the food here.

We took our (adult) niece here today and absolutely loved it. Amazing food and incredibly kind and competent employees. We’ll be going back for sure.

A quick note on heat level- if you normally order medium, order the mild here. Hot but delicious!

Sadly, they no longer offer a buffet.

Simply marvelous food, impeccable service, and a cozy atmosphere with romantic ambiance and full table service.

This is was my first time sitting down in a year if ever, but I found myself craving some authentic Indian cuisine that is gourmet, healthy, and free of chemicals and preservatives due to my allergies and dietary needs.

The food was great and well portioned. I had a variety of entrees including a soup of mulligatawny with fresh ginger, vegetables and many herbs/spices. I followed this by lamb Kodak with a side of garlic Nan and an iced tea.

This is some of the finest Punjabi style Indian food this side of the Mississippi River and it competes with the finest Indian restaurants in Washington D.C., Chicago, Detroit, Miami, NYC, and Atlanta.

I also highly recommend the Kheer rice pudding and the Goat Biryani which is very authentic and well seasoned. Outstanding!!

I left feeling happy and refreshed rather sluggish and tired like so many Chinese and Mexican restaurants.

I’m impressed, will be back, and highly recommend this place to everyone. If you ever drive through Saginaw make sure you save Taste of Punjab in your GPS!! I drove 30 minutes and so glad I did.

I ate all the Biryani and Lamb Kodai. Sorry I forgot to save a picture but you can see my amazing soup.

Thank you Taste of Punjab!
