Absolutely one of my new favorite restaurants in Savannah The tuna tataki, blistered shishito and pork belly buns were amazing. And the noodles. The freaking noodles! Delicious. Well done, Southern Cross Hospitality. Sorry it took so long to get there, but I will be back. Highly recommend!

We’ve been here many many times, I’m a slacker and keep forgetting to leave my review. The food is always on point! We had Pork Buns, Charred Edamame, and Chicken Karaage to share. For mains we had the Pork Ramen and the Chicken Ramen. For Drinks we had the Whiskey Highball, the Matcha Sour add in Bourbon since on the menu it was an NA drink and the Wasabi Martini (excellent if you love wasabi). Everything was amazing! Our server was excellent! They were training a new server who was great as well. You will not be disappointed!

I love Ukiyo. Such a cool vibe inside with great decor. I love sitting at the bar. The cocktails are so good and they have lots of different types of sake and Japanese whiskey. The smashed cucumbers are my favorite, I get them every time! Yum!

Every time we always say it’s the best sushi in Savannah. The charred edamame never disappoints. Dylan takes such great care of us. Amazing service and incredible food. 10/10 recommend. We love sitting at noodle bar to watch the different food preparations.

Dining with Dirk: First Friday of the Year Edition.
Hello darkness, my old friend—Ukiyo for the win. I was greeted promptly and took a seat at the bar, where Brooke quickly took my drink order and perfectly timed the food.
I kicked things off with a Matcha IPA and chutoro. So, so good—the chutoro practically melted in my mouth. For the main event, I went with the chicken bowl with added brisket, a side of Brussels sprouts, and a second Matcha.
The bowl was masterfully crafted, balancing presentation, texture, and flavor. The sprouts were crisp and full of flavor. Brooke continued to excel, while Mike in the kitchen shared a wealth of knowledge. Together, they created a wonderful culinary experience.
All in all, Ukiyo is—and remains—one of my favorites.Dining with Dirk: First Friday of the Year Edition.

We went to this restaurant expecting Japanese ramen, but the food was very disappointing. The ramen broth was not traditional and had a strange, funky taste, more like an unknown imitation than authentic ramen. The ramen itself was not good, and the agedashi tofu was made with Chinese-style tofu, not Japanese tofu.
Overall, the food did not feel like authentic Japanese cuisine and came across as unfocused. The atmosphere was pleasant, but unfortunately, that was the only positive for us.
We would not return.

The food was so good, we do not wait much time to eat. Chicken Bun, two bento box of shrimp tempura. Drinks two mocktails one with Rosemary and the other with Matcha, shot of pineapple, cucumber and matcha. Service really great. They had a parking side free.

The food was super super tasty. My favorites were the scallop dish and nigiri sampler. Our server was friendly and quick. The design inside was cool and temperature was just right. The only thing they missed on was, when the food runner came with our nigiri sampler, he quickly dropped it without explaining to us what each fish was. While it was delicious and some were fairly obvious, when you are paying $40 for a dish, I think that deserves an explanation. We had to ask our busy server to come over and explain it to us which took a bit.

The food is beyond amazing. We had three shareable dishes and dessert and each of them was sooo tasty! Service is friendly and professional. A little bit chilly inside but anyway I will come back for sure.
