I’ve been meaning to try this place out for a while. So since the weather was beautiful in “January” I got on my motorcycle and rode 46 miles to Joeys. Walked in and was greeted by the staff promptly. Told Joey himself it was my first time and he recommended the Joey dog with chili, onions and mustard. Needless to say I scarfed down three of those jokers no problem. They were delicious and I’ll definitely be back real soon. Customer service is great, food is great. 10/10

Found this place on google bc I was feigning for a good hot dog and they did not disappoint. The owner is super friendly greeting you soon as you walk in. Service is super fast no waiting and the beanless chili reminds me of the hot sauce we used to get on our hot dogs in upstate NY! Can’t wait to come back again

This place hits that nice sweet spot between nostalgic charm and great, simple food. Joey’s feels like a time capsule, classic black-and-white floors, friendly counter service, and an unmistakable New York hot dog joint vibe, right down to the snappy sausages.
I ordered two Joey Dogs and a Bratwurst, all “all the way” which is mustard, onion, and their homemade chili. That snap when you bite into them? Very nice. They use dogs made for them by Usinger’s. I also had the redskin potato salad (loaded with dill, just how I like it) and a scoop of Italian pasta salad, both solid sides but the potato salad was my favorite.
Prices are reasonable, portions are fair, and the whole experience just feels honest and no-frills. Staff was warm and welcoming.
Worth noting: they’ve got Christian-themed decor and worship music playing. I’m not religious, but it didn’t feel pushy—just part of the vibe. If you are Christian, you’ll probably find that aspect especially appealing.
All in all, this is a great little local gem. I’d absolutely come back.

Joey’s was highly recommended by my brother, so I went here for a nice quick lunch.
The Food: I had to order the classic Joey Dog here. I ordered two “All the Way” and the other two “Mess ‘Em Up”. The hot dogs were delicious! They had a very nice snap to each dog and all the condiments/toppings paired very well with each other.
The Service: Service was very good! The owner, Joey himself, was working the hotdogs and the food came up real fast. All of the staff here are incredibly nice and welcoming as well.
The Atmosphere: Upon walking in, you immediately get hit with a nostalgic/old timey feeling. The decor and setup of the place just feels nice and welcoming, with history behind it. There’s plenty of tables to sit at, and there’s a bar area for you to sit at too. The restaurant is very clean as well!
Overall, a 5/5! Absolutely recommend Joey’s Hot Dogs! From the food to the old-school/throwback feel, it was amazing.

Stopped and grabbed some chili dogs and a hot dog for my son and got every side to try them. All of it was excellent. Service was fast and friendly, hot dogs have the *snap* and all the sides were really good. Reasonable price and will be my go to when I’m craving a chili dog.

Some things in life just need to be what they are. Joey’s makes the best chilli Hotdogs of anywhere place I’ve traveled… And the staff is amazing.

I stopped into Joey’s Hot Dogs for the first time and I will be back! I ordered just one to try, and after the first bite I immediately went back for a few more. The food was simple and done perfectly, and the man running the place, who I assume is Joey, was incredibly kind, humble, and genuinely welcoming. He never tried to push anything, just offered real hospitality. The place was clean, the old-time atmosphere was great, and the whole experience made it easy to want to support a business like this.

I’m a fan of this restaurant. I try to go anytime I am in the area. I got two Joey’s hot dogs and a bottle of coke. I added slaw to the dogs. I am a West Virginian and they make a great dog. Joey was doing the cooking and we talked about his roots in Norfolk. The family has been serving up hot dogs since 1939.
