Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I had a great experience at this location for lunch today. I was greeted with smiling faces soon as I entered. The restaurant was clean & inviting. It was my first time attempting to use their app to order. Ms. Lakisha (operating manager) quickly offered assistance & ensured my order was correct.
My food was freshly made, delicious and NOT just thrown together sloppily!
I truly appreciated such friendly, genuine customer service from Ms. Lakisha & the young lady that patiently took my order Ms. Samantha.
I will return to this location again. Thank you!
On top of that, the customer service here is a complete joke. The employees were rude, dismissive, and had zero sense of professionalism. They didn’t bother to give me my receipts back, which makes it impossible to even prove what I ordered if I wanted to get a refund or contact corporate. That’s shady and unacceptable. A restaurant should never withhold receipts from customers, yet they do it here without a second thought.
This location doesn’t care about its customers at all. They waste your time, give you the wrong food, refuse accountability, and then treat you like you’re the problem for daring to complain. I watched how they interacted with other customers while I was waiting, and the same bad behavior was happening across the board: orders wrong, people waiting way too long, and staff acting like they couldn’t care less.
Whataburger as a brand might be decent, but this location is an embarrassment. If corporate actually values its reputation, they need to take a long, hard look at the management and employees here because this level of service is beyond pathetic. Honestly, I’d rather eat at McDonald’s in Pinegrove — and that says a lot — than ever waste another dollar at this place.
Do yourself a favor: avoid this Whataburger completely. Save your time, money, and frustration, because all you’ll get here is cold food, messed up orders, and the worst customer service imaginable. One star is too generous. If you care about your sanity, drive past this place and never look back.
