This was my first time at Arrivederci Wine and Jazz Restaurant and I was not disappointed. As a matter of fact, this is an excellent and top notch restaurant and wine cellar that I will definitely not only recommend but I will be making this one of my go to place. Everything was exceptional. The food was delicious. The wine was delicious. The atmosphere was lively and very clean. No dust or cobwebs anywhere. The staff were very polite, knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive to the guests. They had live music which is always a bonus. So much fun and completely satisfying. This is definitely a jewel located in Milwaukee, Oregon.

Ambiance and decor are good, food is ok. Not bad, subpar “Italian” food for the price, the place isn’t cheap.. ordered the calamari, and it was definitely a frozen product, and it didn’t match the description that was on the menu. “Lightly beaded rings and tentacles” looked like some frozen onion rings with some fish sticks. It was chewy and hard to swallow. 100% it wasn’t “lightly breaded” there and it was 16 bucks. Jazz music is nice, why we went, not for the food.. posted a pic of what I got and posted a pic of what fresh calamari should look like.

Great character, the food is wonderful. The musicians lay Jazz that next night, Dec 4th – Graham Covington – Ron Steen – Dennis Caiazza, were fabulous.

My partner had the Shrimp Scampi and said it was the best she had in a long time. I had the Sun Dried Tomato Pesto, with chicken, and the flavors were sublime.

Staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

I walked into the sweet sound of live jazz! This place has a lively and warm vibe with jazz themed art on the walls. Busy Saturday, so we made reservations and got seated as soon as we walked in.
I tried the antipasti plate and the rustic bruschetta. Both are what you’d expect them to be. They were good!
Our service experience was on the slower side. She was a sweet server but we saw her twice, when she took our order, and when she dropped our food off. It was busy, so I understand. I did ask the bartender to help us cash out and he was more than willing.
Overall I did have a great experience and I would go back.

We’ve been in here many times. Tonight was the worst. Bartenders are great and attentive, tonight it wasn’t crazy busy and we ordered regular dishes yet it took over an hour to get our dinner. When it came both were way too salty to the point we couldn’t eat more than a few bites. The owner is always in there drinking in the bar and while she quickly barked at the bartenders to clear empty glasses for her friends to sit down, she dint notice us sitting waiting over an hour. She acts above everyone. Oh and don’t get me started on the overly loud, horrible “jazz” music. Kill me now, I was crawling out of my skin waiting for our bill so we could leave. $68 for two pasta dishes we didn’t eat and a small fondue. #ripoff

Pay attention to your customers and less time looking for your next glass of wine.

The low overall score is primarily from my partners and I experience with the owner. At approximately 9:35pm with closing at 10 pm on a Saturday night after we had already paid, and signed our check, and were finishing our last drink, we were approached by the owner who asked us to finish up paying our check so “her children can leave”. We explained that we had already paid, to which she took the completed check and left saying “you guys can stay” in an absolute sarcastic tone. I get that she is looking out for her employees but did she do this to the many other patrons that were in the restaurant as well? Why did she have to be so rude when we had already paid and were finishing the last little bit of our wine? We informed our server about this experience and he said that he had already told her that we paid! So why did she feel it necessary to push us out? It sucks because we had genuinely had a great experience up until that point. The food was good, our server was amazing and the band that was playing was incredible. It was our first time in to the establishment and we were hoping to return but not so sure after our experience with the owner.

Arrivederci was a load of fun. We were drawn there by a performance by a musician that we had enjoyed at a different wine bar. Arrivederci has the added bonus of classic Italian food to go with the wine and the entertainment.
Our group (2 couples – it was a great spot to visit with friends) mostly went with tried and true options, ravioli, spaghetti, and the fourth opted for the Molte Bene, chicken sauteed with a huge pile of veggies. The antipasti platter, tiramisu and cheesecake, and a couple of bottles of wine made for a great evening. Our server was attentive without hovering – a perfect combination in my opinion.
It’s a big space, but split into separate rooms, and lit dimly enough to make the whole thing seem cozy. They had posters scattered around showing upcoming music, many of them with artists that I’ve enjoyed in other settings. I’m looking forward to returning to this particular performance venue.

WONDERFUL! Best Italian in the greater Portland area. Service was quick, every bite was delicious, and live jazz music was a plus! Highly recommend the fried burrata and asking for fresh bread – it comes out hot with butter and olive oil with balsamic, yum! We sat at a table with a window to the bar which was unique. Lots of fun decor to look at in the restaurant!

This is a hidden gem and never disappoints; great for a date night! The decor is fun, inviting, and warm! The only drawback is, it can be hard to find a parking spot, but once you do “land” one, you are golden and believe me the food will be worth the effort.
They also have live jazz music on most nights, so it can get a little loud in some areas for dining. They have a nice bar area, but don’t go looking for any happy hour specials. Great appetizers and portion sizes are more than adequate.
If you like great Italian food, give it a try! They are only open for dinner and I would highly suggest reservations for weekend dining.
Enjoy!
