The minus – restrooms need to be more taken care of.
From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt off. The hostess was unwelcoming and seemed annoyed when I politely requested a booth instead of the crowded section she initially directed me to. First impressions matter—especially for new guests—and this one didn’t set a positive tone.
My server was prompt and friendly, which I appreciated, but things went downhill from there. While the buffet looked decent at first glance, I quickly noticed how unclean the restaurant was. The floors, lobby, and even the restrooms were noticeably dirty.
As for the food, most of what I tried—Hibachi chicken, beef with broccoli, spicy shrimp, and other chicken dishes—was lukewarm, bland, or tasted slightly burnt. I went back to try a few more items hoping for better results, but it was more of the same.
To top things off, when I went to pay, the cashier seemed irritated that I only had a larger bill, and there was zero appreciation shown for my business.
Overall, I left feeling disappointed and still hungry. This place needs a serious reevaluation in terms of cleanliness, food quality, and customer service. I won’t be returning.
Grub Score 2/10
I like the Veterans discount offered. For my daughter and I the total for the buffet and a drink a piece was a little under $36.31
The atmosphere here is nice. Bright enough to see without any blaring fluorescence. Each time I’ve been here they have these delightful fairy lights framing the buffet itself, and the signature cherry tree up front is gorgeous.
The food, in my experience, the variety is incredible and the bar is kept plenty warm. However, it’s not painfully hot. You can dig in right away. If you’re definition of lukewarm is “you don’t have to blow on it first”, you may not like it here.
However, the staff seemed to have a tough time keeping supply up on the more popular items such as the crab legs. Which tells me they were making sure to cook them properly rather than rushing them out.
The sushi bar is one of the more expensive ones that I’ve seen. I always have the sashimi (straight tuna and salmon) when I’m here and so far I’ve never gotten ill. It’s all properly cured and temped.
Staff if quick to take actionfor plates and drinks, but not very chatty. Some may appreciate that, like myself.
Mind you, all of this while the place is /packed/ for the dinner hour on a Saturday.
I can’t confirm that this is the experience all the time, but it’s always been mine.
