Had a delightful time at Margot. We got there around 11:30am during the rainy week in LA.

Place is beautifully decorated. It feels kinda like an Anthropologie-like vibe. We loved it.

We sat in the corner by all the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the tram (whatever it’s called)

Service was attentive and he made solid recommendations.

We ordered the Oatmeal Pancakes, the potato things (forgot the name but it looked like mini potatoes pancakes)
Beet and Burrata salad and the Chicken Caesar salad.

All of it was portioned well and tasted wonderful to us. It was just the right amount of food with no leftovers. There were 3 of us.

The bar looks super and was getting much busier as we were leaving (12:45pm-ish)

Valet was convenient, since the parking isn’t that easy. At least for us it was challenging to find a close spot.

Will be back to check out the evening vibes.

Nice place for a date night. Fancy. Indoor and outdoor seating on the roof. Views are of Culver City buildings & the metro train, not a garden, but it was still nice. Salad “small plate” starter was plenty to share for an appetizer. Pasta main dish was also a good size. The salmon main course was a bit small, but as expected for a fancy place. The drinks were fabulous . Have vegetarian items if you eat dairy/eggs/ pasta, but not too many vegan items.

Had a solid meal here with the family. Good vibes, great service, and the cocktails were excellent. After having brunch I’m interested in coming back to try the dinner menu.

Margot is a gorgeous restaurant. It was a bit tricky for us to find, if you enter from Landmark, it’s in the far right back corner of the plaza. The service was impeccable, and I’ll reiterate what I started with, the place is beautiful and welcoming. I went with a client for a business lunch but I can imagine how fun this place would be on a weekend. Now, I will say this. The food was good, but it’s very overpriced. You’re definitely paying for the beauty of the place and the soap in the bathroom. Salad $30. Water $10. Want a refill on your iced tea? You’re paying $6 each time. Would I go back? I would with clients but not on my own. Too

1 star – Pricing Transparency Concern (Valentine’s Day)

I’m sharing this experience so other families and customers know to ask detailed pricing questions before dining here, especially on holidays.

On Valentine’s Day, my three teenagers (ages 13, 14, and 16) went to Margot for dinner. They’ve eaten here before, so we expected pricing similar to the regular menu (most entrées listed around $28–$70).

However:

The reservation confirmation said only “Prix Fixe Menu” — no price was listed

When they arrived, they were given a special menu with no prices

No one explained that the Valentine’s menu was $150 per person

They were told they would receive “one of everything”

Because there were three of them, staff said the restaurant would add “extra dishes,” which sounded like accommodation — not three full $150 charges

One of my children is gluten-intolerant and was told she couldn’t eat about half the menu, but there was no adjustment

The final bill was over $550, and the price was only discovered at the end

They were also presented with a champagne/alcohol menu, even though all three are minors

The main issue is lack of price transparency before service. Had the price been clearly disclosed, they would not have dined that evening.

I have contacted the restaurant multiple times by phone and email and have not been able to reach a manager or receive a response.

The restaurant itself is a nice space, and past visits were fine, but this experience was very disappointing. If you plan to dine here — especially for special events — I strongly recommend confirming total pricing in advance.

Sharing this so others don’t end up surprised.

Sat outside but it was pleasant under the shaded umbrellas. Server was fantastic and attentive. This place caters to more business but on the weekends it is a mixed crowd. We had plates to share. The tuna and hamachi starters were great but hamachi was tastier. The charred broccoli was great. I think the only thing missing was bits of bacon. Meatball sandwich was tasty as well as the golden beets which matched well with the burrata cheese. Overall a great experience. Sadly they did not carry a Bloody Mary.

The atmosphere is amazing. Whether you come in the day or come at night, the views and overall feel of the place are relaxing. At night, you can sit around the fire, enjoy a few drinks, and chat it up with family or friends. Their service is also amazing. They are always attentive and aim to please. I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but the food is just okay and small portions. I like the atmosphere so I’ll keep coming back

We went to Margot for brunch and it did not disappoint. The vibes and views alone are worth the visit, but the food and service sealed the deal for us. Our waiter was great! He was really friendly and gave us a great rec: the French toast, which was next level, possibly the best in the city! We also had the oysters and arancini, and both were delish. If you’re looking for a bougie weekend brunch spot or cute dinner spot overlooking the city at sunset, Margot nails it. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!

We recently held our anniversary party at Margot, and could not be happier with our choice. The planning process was extremely easy due to Margot’s wonderful event director, Sarah. She was flexible and accommodating to our every request, and always present if we had questions. The GM, Parker, was super helpful on the day as well. The night of our event, everything was in place, ready to go, with no issues. They even set out my flower arrangements for me. The staff was so friendly, anticipated everyone’s needs, and nobody wanted for anything the whole night. All our guests talked about how friendly and helpful all members of staff were. The food and drinks were delicious and crowd pleasing. I could not say enough good things about how beautiful and clean the interior of the restaurant is. I was shocked that for such a large event, not a single thing went wrong or off schedule. Everything was literally perfect! Thank you SO MUCH Margot team!

I absolutely love the atmosphere at this place! To get to the rooftop restaurant, you take an elevator, and even the decor inside the elevator is chic and stylish. It really sets the tone for what’s to come.

When we arrived, we came at an off hour, and there wasn’t anyone at the host stand, even though the restaurant was empty. We had to flag someone down, but once we did, they seated us right away.

The menu was concise, with fewer lunch options, but the choices were high quality. I ordered the salmon with a tequila-based cocktail, and the pairing was perfect. Although we thought the salmon could have been cooked a little longer, the rice-like mixture and aïoli sauce that accompanied it were absolutely delicious.

One downside was the bathrooms. They’re unisex with individual stalls, each having a toilet, a urinal, and a sink. I didn’t think this was the best choice, as the urinals tend to have a stronger odor. I wasn’t too keen on the fact that I had to deal with the smell while using the sink inside the stall. There are sinks outside of the stalls, which would have avoided this issue, but I didn’t realize that at the time.
