Stopped by Sophie’s Café and really enjoyed our visit! The pastries were absolutely delicious, and the café con leche was out of this world — rich, smooth, and perfectly made. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, which was very good and hit the spot. My partner tried the corned beef hash and eggs — it was okay, nothing to write home about, but still decent. The staff was friendly and very accommodating to our dietary restrictions, which we really appreciated. Overall, a cozy spot with great pastries and coffee — definitely worth a visit!

Would love to leave this place a good review but it was difficult. I understand that our party was over 15 people but the way that they handled the service was pretty terrible. Everyone but two people in our group got their food the group wanted everyone to have the food before we ate so we were stuck with over a dozen people not eating their food and getting cold because of two people’s meals that were not ready. Can’t blame the waiter for this because it did not seem like it was his fault but rather the cooks in the back. Because of this the food quality was not the greatest. We were there for an event for every weekend so we made it difficult for us to find a place that would accommodate a big group. Definitely will not be going back here and I would advise you that if you’re going with a bigger group to find another place to go. Food with meh they did offer to hibachi tables if you wanted the hibachi.

We wanted to try Sophie’s Cafe on the Sebring Circle because of HGTV’s Home Town’s recent episode. We went after lunch hoping it would not be too busy but it was still crowded at 2:00 P.M., however we only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. My stir fry chicken with green peppers was perfect with black beans & rice & fried plantains. My husband had the stir fry steak with the same sides but he hates plantains and I love them so lucky me! Both our meals were delicious. The smell of their Cuban coffee was worth the visit. The aroma fills the whole place & is simply blissful! We ordered Guava Puff Pastries to go & they were wonderful too. Sebring Circle is really thriving now with visitors & sightseers. I want to come back soon & have breakfast & walk the circle.

Sophie’s Cafe is a delight! I am always looking for amazing Cuban food and have found it on the Sebring circle at Sophie’s! I had the Ex Special, and it did not disappoint! So flavorful!
Also at the table we had the original Cuban, the Army and the Classic Turkey; all amazing! After lunch we had cafe con leche and guava pasteries…so delicious! I HIGHLY recommend the cafe con leche – best I have ever had!
What an absolute delightful addition to the Downtown Sebring Circle!

This place is the best. The cafe con leche is amazing. The steak and eggs is to die for. We got here and have eaten here 3 days in a row. And it’s better every time. The owner is amazing and we even met the Mayor of Sebring. Man! We love this place

Stopped for lunch to see the changes made by Ben and Erin and HGTV, it is so beautiful! My mother-in-law lived in this town for 15 years and driving around the circle was so heartbreaking because most of the buildings were empty.
I had the half Cuban sandwich ( it’s in 2 pieces) and not only huge but so delicious! I also had a large house salad. When I left I also got 3 slices of their strawberry cheesecake which was also very delicious! I took two of the slices to family in the area. For a Monday they were very busy and you go inside to put your name on the waiting list, the food is worth the wait which isn’t very long. Even the ladies room had a lemony citrus smell! I highly recommend trying this place out!

Unusual weather for Sebring so it was not a good day for an employee to keep opening the front door in a propped position. Various nearby diners shut it and she kept opening it. She was busy and no doubt needed air while diners seated at first 2-3 tables apparently did not. Otherwise food and service was better than average. Very clean with nice menu options and pricing.

Sophie’s presents a conundrum.
Are you willing to have so-so service for good food in a blase environment? If so, then this is your place! The Cuban was good, but the ‘salad’ was chopped lettuce with some shredded cheese and sliced unripe tomatoes.
The service was basic, as others have complained. Maybe it’s a Cuban thing, but you sure don’t feel welcomed as a patron.
As in life, it’s all about choices. Do I go back, or say forget it!
