Nothing too special but they do have a nice selection.
However the pricing is quite fair for now a days. The amount of food for the price is a good deal and as I said it’s not bad but average.
Would give them a try, I’ll be back one day too.
Their website says: ” San Jose’s best Chinese take-out restaurant.” I believed it.
Just pre-order online and you’re good to go.
I was really surprised they really fill up each take-out food container to the the brim. So you will get your money’s worth. Like when I ordered crispy shrimp and salt & pepper calamari, each container was really full, and each shrimp was large size, too..I love it..Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed. Bon appetit!
Portions are great for the price, but if you’re looking for consistently flavorful food, this may not be the place.
The chowmien is bland so you may want to request extra sauce or some siracha for additional flavor.
The sweet and sour pork and fried rice tasted fine.
Lots more items on the menu but there wasn’t enough time to try them out. The drink variety was limited.
The lobby is quiet because most people are ordering take-out.
You can also order online and then pickup when ready.
Original review: Do me a favor. Do not order the Mongolian Chicken or the Szechuan chicken. Its mostly vegetable, the Mongolian chicken literally was mostly onions. And the Szechuan chicken was mostly Zucchini and onions. Hardly any chicken on either. Big ripoff for $13. Just stick to ordering orange chicken, general chicken, sesame chicken, etc. If you get something stir fried with vegetables they are gonna take advantage.
Food: My absolute favorite is the “Salt and Pepper Fish Fillet”. The rest of the dishes are somewhat mixed. I like their marinate on their meats for example, but their carbs like rice or noodles are too thick for my tastes.
Ordering: Ordering from dialing-in or Chownow currently has the same prices as ordering in person so I’d recommend either of those methods.
Overall, order the “Salt and Pepper Fish Fillet.” The “Shredded Chicken Salad” I have heard is also a good starter. Make sure you order via call or their recommended website to avoid fees.
