In today’s world we seldom take time to sit and enjoy a meal. This restaurant is a business full of interesting items to enjoy while you enjoy a meal. Of course they have great chicken biscuits at a good price. They also have a variety of other dishes and some daily specials.

The food, service, and atmosphere are always the best. . Pictures posted is that of chicken livers and cabbage ( under season) but tenderly cooked. I have never had a bad dish. Bread pudding is my quilty pleasure. My uncle Mike has worked here for years.

First, I’ll have to qualify why I gave the atmosphere 5 Stars. No, this is not some fancy yoga pants First Watch breakfast place… This is an authentic, been here forever with no updates, genuine hometown restaurant. I hope they never remodel and make this place look like some kind of sterile chain restaurant.
The food’s appearance wasn’t all fancied up to look like some kind of pretty chain restaurant commercial either. But the taste… this is where they put all their money… quality ingredients and good size portions. The only thing that makes me angry about this food is that I’m too full to get a second helping. Highlights… their muffins or cobbler. Highly recommend!

Everything I’ve had has been delicious. Bbq, Meatloaf, Bbq Chicken, and especially the peach cobbler.

Stopped in for lunch. Snagged a lunch plate with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and a biscuit. Sweet tea to drink. Lunch was outstanding. Went back for a peach cobbler.
Atmosphere is great! Felt like I was back home in Texas.

40+ years of Dallas chicken and biscuit goodness in Apex. Food is literally perfect comfort. Biscuits and gravy 10/10, chicken filet / biscuit 10/10, scrambled eggs and potatoes 10/10, self serve coffee from real coffee pots 10/10.
And there’s a drive thru!
For kids there is a horse in the back that you can move and sit your toddler on at your table and eat on top of because it has a tray near the horse’s head. Awesome.

Old-timey place, all locals inside holding court and catching up with town gossip. Superior biscuits, eggs, grits, fried chicken, and all the fixings.

Dallas is a place where everyone knows your name type restaurant. I stopped by for lunch as I had a meeting ing the area and grabbed so gizzards. They were delightful, light and crispy. Cooked to perfection. Not rubbery or overcooked like most places do. As I do not have a place around my house that serves gizzards, this was a treat. A lot of people were buying the BBQ chicken. I will definitely return when I am in the area during my future meetings and would recommend to anyone. Must try

Wow! An authentic blast from the past. It had farm yard antiques, including a 1950s rocking horse style children’s table and probably a 1940s 4′ tall radio. It was delightful and the food was delicious. Go! Just go and experience this place for yourself.l! It’s wonderful in every way!

I lived in Apex 25 years and can’t believe I’ve never been to this place until now. Quaint country cafe type atmosphere. Bigger inside than I imagined. Ordered eggs bacon home fries and biscuits w gravy. Highlights: sausage gravy and biscuits, excellent blueberry muffins. Will be coming back
