A Proper Cracking Curry in Scarborough!
Popped in with the missus on the 10th of October, ’25. We were only up for a short break and were absolutely gagging for a bit of proper, homemade comfort grub, you know the sort.
The staff were polite and really welcoming, actually. They showed real care, which was lovely. Kept checking in on us and the other tables to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying the dinner. Couldn’t fault them, really.
Absolutely cracking meal! The food was spot on — great taste and well presented. The portions were generous, but not daft (you know, too much), and they’re well worth the money, a proper bang for your buck actually. Very reasonable prices!
I’d definitely give a shout out to the mixed kebab starter – proper gear, that – and the chicken tikka, tarka daal, and lamb bhuna mains. If you’re a desi/Asian customer, they’ve got the spice levels just right. Hats off to the chef, Mr. Saiful, his cooking skills are fabulous. No wonder they’ve bagged the ‘best chef’s award’ twice – we only found that out later, but well deserved, that is.
Mr. J / Javed, the maître d’, was a good bloke and looked after us brilliantly. He was very polite and steered us through the menu to make sure we picked the right stuff. He knows his onions!
Would definitely recommend it and we’ll be popping back in next time we’re up north. Easily the best place in Scarborough for a curry and kebabs if you’re after Bangladeshi/Indian – a solid 10/10 from us.

Searched for a nice Indian restaurant in Scarborough and this came up first so off we went!. Nice decor! Friendly staff! Poppardoms were nice pickle tray was ok the yogurt mint looked very green and not much taste. The starter was mixed starter which was very yummy! Main was very coconut shreds which was not what we expected as we have had it before but from somewhere else. Not everyone cooks every thing the same so it’s just how it is. The rice was very fluffy and tasty. Will come back again on next trip. Gets very busy by 8pm on a sunday

Probably the best Indian restaurant in Scarborough. Really nice atmosphere and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The food tasted amazing and didn’t take long to come out. The portion sizes were massive and we couldn’t finish it off. The menu is average prices and they take card payment too. Toilets were clean and there was free WiFi. They had plenty of measures in place to stop the spread of covid-19 too. Overall I really enjoyed eating here and will definitely come back in the future. Would recommend.

The food was very tasty. Sorry that we didn’t have time to go there again before we leave Scarborough. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The Cox’s Bazar soft crab dish and the sardine dish we’ve never seen on Indian restaurant menus. We had a nice chat with the owner Kamal.
At the end of our meal, everyone gets a complementary drink. My husband got a brandy in a warm glass up glass (which he said was a nice way to enjoy it) and I got a shot of Bailey’s.

Our first visit here, and we will definitely return. We were highly satisfied by the food and service. Good sized portions and excellent quality and value for money. The best Indian we have had so far in Scarborough, highly recommended.

Superb fresh food and such friendly staff. Ordered the crab, asked for not too spicy and came out perfect. Chef’s special was lovely too.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the complimentary tipple after our meals was a nice touch.
