Stopped in with a coworker after delivering gas and was not disappointed. First time eating there and we both got the po boy shrimp sandwich. Idk what sauce they use for it but it was fire. Came with a good amount of food as well for $14. Left full and with a new spot to stop at when on that side of town. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be stopping in again. Food came pretty quick too even while they were pretty busy. That’s always a plus.

If you love fried food… and I mean love it the way a pelican loves unattended shrimp, then Dockside may already be penciled into your destiny.
Be prepared: at lunch and dinner there are lines at the entrance that suggest either (a) the food is excellent or (b) there’s a secret government program inside. Good news, it’s the food. The line moves faster than expected, which is your first clue that this place knows exactly what it’s doing and has been doing it since before patience was invented.
Service is fast, almost suspiciously so. You order, blink, reflect briefly on your life choices, and suddenly fried fish and shrimp appear, fresh, hot, and unapologetically themselves. The fish tastes like it met the ocean recently and parted on good terms. The shrimp are crisp, juicy, and clearly overqualified for a paper basket.
Then there’s the view: the marina stretches out in front of you like a postcard that decided to serve hushpuppies. Boats glide by, the water sparkles, and the pelicans sit nearby giving you that look, the one that says, I would absolutely die to get in there for a taste, and I have made peace with that.
Why four stars and not five? Let’s just say Dockside doesn’t try to reinvent seafood, deconstruct it, or present it with tweezers. It simply fries it very well, serves it fast, and lets the pelicans judge you silently. And honestly? That feels exactly right.

BEST OF THE BEST!

Dockside Seafood Restaurant in Jax Beach served the best seafood I’ve had anywhere in the U.S.

Everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The waterfront setting made the experience even better, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. From the food to the atmosphere, everything was outstanding.

I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in the area.

Some of the best seafood i’ve had in a long time. The portions were great for the value. The halibut was very good and the fried shrimp was fantastic as well.I’d prefer them.Give me less french fries and more cold.Slaw however.

10/13/2025 stopped here for some lunch. When I arrived there was already a line out the door so I knew the food must be good.

I ordered the Mahi grilled, peel and eat shrimp, the Savannah crab soup, and keylime pie dessert. I also ordered a coke to drink. I sat outside which was nice but there wasn’t enough umbrellas so it got a bit warm. Fortunately I had a hat with me.
Watch your food there’s two birds that will get it.

The food was fantastic! Fresh and delicious is all I can say about it. The keylime pie was the best I’ve ever had but the portion was too small especially for the price of it.

My total bill was $57.00 + tip.

Truly excellent sea food! I tried the shrimp nachos and clam strip basket, loved both. Others in my party had other meals they all very much enjoyed, including gator tail which they all said was the best they’ve had. The *only* gripe would be how loud it is inside, but EVERYTHING else was great. Fantastic views, quick friendly service, meals arrived quick compared to most sit down restaurants. Lots of seafood options and cooked RIGHT without insane prices. Highly recommend.

It’s ok. Pricey for the catch of the day choices. Hubs got the combo basket with fried shrimp and grouper. With a Sprite it came to $45. I got the fried shrimp Po’boy and a sprite. $18. Parking is VERY minimal. Go early. Seating is also fairly limited. Order at counter and then have to take receipt and get your drink from lady at separate register area. Forgot to take pic of hubs basket.

We decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews. I have never been so disappointed in following reviews. We wanted to try numerous items and so ended up sharing. Started with the clam chowder it wasn’t awful but for a seafood restaurant, my expectations were far from met. It lacked flavor and was basically a cream base with a few chunks of items. We tried the fried conch fritters and these were decent having a touch of sweet flavor that contrasted nicely with the sauce. Tried the 3 item combo. Blackened Mahi, fried shrimp, and fried haddock. The shrimp had a nice cook, but the batter lacked flavor, same for the haddock, to compound the lack of flavor the tartar sauce was a smidgen off from mayo. The blackened Mahi…. well, it was blackened and hard from WAY over cooking it, dry hard and again, lacked flavor. Something blackened should have a nice hint of heat. Even with dipping it in the mayo, it was still hard and dry. I wouldn’t waste my money nor time going there again.

Oh my goodness! Everything we ordered was just soooo good! Hushpuppies, cheeseburger, fried okra, coleslaw, fish, and twice baked potato. We arrived in from Georgia around 8:10 pm after a long day of traveling. We were prepared for maybe “not so fresh” dishes as they were closing at 9. We were very happy that this was not the case at all! Can’t wait for our next visit!
