Located in an affluent satellite suburb northwest of downtown Seattle, Serendipity Cafe, advertised as a family friendly restaurant seemed more like a bar with poor lighting. Maybe there are two separate sections and I missed the main dining area, because I was seated in a booth by the bar. It was mid afternoon when most restaurants can be slow but the place was empty. Decided to stop in anyway for a burger, fries & salad. Bartender was friendly; service was fine; food was good but definitely overpriced at $33 including tax/tip. Limited street parking; cute neighborhood; walkable; families hanging out but also some homeless transients roaming around the corner. Overall OK but would not recommend & would seek better value elsewhere.

Stopped in for a quick early lunch. They were serving their lunch menu at 11:30 which was great! Enjoyed a French dip with fries. Some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Service was great I was alone and sat at the bar. Great atmosphere. I’ll be back.

Smack dab in an adorable neighborhood. This place is too cute. Kind staff and yummy food. What more could you ask for?

Honestly, this cafe was great. The vibe was awesome—perfect table spacing and the decor was gorgeous. The clam chowder and breakfast dishes were amazing; seriously good comfort food! The only annoying bit was our server. We arrived at noon and stayed until about 1:30 PM on a Friday, which felt like a normal amount of time for lunch, but they seemed really keen to get rid of us towards the end. It was a shame, because the food and atmosphere were spot-on

My experience at Serendipity Café was very disappointing.
The service from Megan and her colleagues was poor. There was noticeable sass, eye-rolling, and an overall unwelcoming attitude. I felt i said something wrong for having a question.
The lack of attentiveness and courteous made the experience uncomfortable from the start.
The food was just okay. It was very salty, served warm rather than hot, and didn’t taste particularly fresh. On the positive side, the prices were reasonable and the space itself was clean.
Overall, the service overshadowed everything else. I wouldn’t recommend dining here, and I won’t be returning.

The service was fast. Our waitress was polite and knowledgeable. She could recommend a beverage for me (I prefer decaf options). Food was soooo delicious! And portions were huge. We took breakfast burrito and eggs benedict with salmon. And we were highly satisfied with our choice!

Jennifer and staff are wonderful – great service and great food! I loved my breakfast plate and lavendar latte. Such a fun atmosphere and local neighborhood spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drink with friends.

Take out. Ordered burger and BLT. Both top notch, shocker since kid friendly. I hate shoe string fries. These shoe string fries somehow are soft and taste amazing. There is a paprika seasoning on fries and no ketchup or ranch needed. Aioli something on BLT, I was skeptical, but luckily it was delicious. I eat a BLT on vacation constantly for safety. This BLT is top shelf. Toasted sourdough just icing on the cake. Close to cool kiddie shops too. Young people working there actually nice and have good customer service. Nice place for sleepy town.

I got an exceptional chicken salad and a brewed iced tea. Both very good. Service was fast, a bit neutral in the friendly department but didn’t go in there for that. Desserts looked good but didn’t try one. There’s a door that goes into a lounge area, didn’t check it out. Location is excellent. Magnolia is a fun place to visit.
