On a road trip and we stopped in for lunch because we had heard good things about this place.
Upon sitting down and reading the menu for the “everything made fresh daily” pizzas, we had high hopes for the food.
Not really in the mood for pizza, we ordered the tenderloin and Mushroom & Swiss Burger.
The tenderloin was so greasy the breading fell off, the bun was soggy, and was completely inedible. The tenderloin was taken off the bill.
The Mushroom & Swiss Burger had what I’d call a “primordial salty ooze” on it with teeny, tiny bits of mushrooms and was on a bun that was slightly bigger than a slider bun. I scraped the ooze off.
The French Fries were nice and shiny/greasy, just like the tenderloin. We managed to choke down a few before we left.
The one redeeming quality… the decor was nice. Loved the old barn wood and corrugated steel lining the walls.
Though the pizzas sound good on paper, I can honestly say we’ll never take the long drive to go back.
There’s better tenderloins and burgers closer to home… like at Rodney’s Kitchen in Waterloo and Joensy’s in Center Point.

I can only give this a 3 due to the wait time we had. The waitress came and took our drink order and brought us our drinks but after waiting another 15 minutes we had to go ask to get waited on. Nobody was there but us. Food was good. Service sucked.
