I sat at the bar as a party of one. Even on a busy Saturday the server/ bartender was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the miso soup, two sushi rolls (the king crab and king lobster rolls) and a scorpion bowl for one. Everything was delicious abs i would definitely recommend it. I will return for sure!

Very disappointing service at Hana Sushi in Gainesville.
My friends and I arrived around 6:40 PM and our food started coming around 7:15 PM. We ordered ice cream a little after 8:00 PM and finished around 8:30 PM.
At 8:40 PM, a server who was not our original server came over and told us the table had a reservation and that we needed to leave. No one had ever told us about any reservation or time limit when we were seated. Another server came again about 10 minutes later saying the same thing.
We paid the bill right away before 8:30PM but stayed for about 10 more minutes to finish our conversation. When I politely explained that we felt uncomfortable being rushed out without any prior notice, the server rolled her eyes at us.
The explanation also kept changing. First they said the table had a reservation, even though earlier we were told weekend reservations are not accepted. Then they claimed they were trying to move us to the sushi bar, which had never been mentioned before. One server even told us they were “losing money because we didn’t leave.”
We had only been dining for about an hour and a half, which is completely normal. The food was okay, but the service and attitude were extremely rude and unprofessional. If a table has a reservation or time limit, customers should be told before they sit down, not pressured to leave afterward.

I’m so in love with Asian Cuisine, but this place is above the average. The sushi rolls are perfect and beautifully made. The drinks are also great. I’ve been there in a weekend at lunchtime and the service was very good. Great atmosphere and location. I definitely want to go back.

We’ve been to probably 20 different Asian/sushi restaurants and this was, by far, the best we’ve ever had. We ordered 4 rolls of sushi, steak hibachi, and shrimp pad Thai. I had not one complaint about anything. The sushi was fresh and full of flavor. I’m not a fan of fried rolls so that was mainly for my husband but after trying it I wish we had ordered two. It was delicious and crispy but still raw on the inside. The pad Thai was perfectly seasoned with tender shrimp and a nice chew to the noodles. The steak was cooked medium and everything else with it was cooked perfect and tasted great. The atmosphere was comfortable and clean, our server Jonas was great. He had all condiments and refills to the table quick and checked on us several times to make sure the food was good. The pictures online actually look like the food you get which is rare. Overall a great price for fresh, delicious food and good service.

So glad they are opened during the Christmas holidays! I had an amazing experience at Hana Sushi! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The sushi was some of the best I’ve had, with perfect balance and a great variety of options. I was especially excited to try some of the new items on the menu, which did not disappoint! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we were taken care of throughout the meal.

We had a great experience at Hana Sushi. We came for the hibachi and it didn’t disappoint. Most of us did the lunch special, which includes a salad and miso soup, hibachi cooked protein, mixed veggies, and fried rice. The kids meals were huge! And the sushi was delicious/freshly made. Our waiter was amazing. He was attentive without being overbearing and incredibly helpful with suggestions. I’ll be back!

The best sushi we’ve had in Gainesville! My god, good and fresh sushi is so hard to find in a town like this. Coming from California, we’re very picky and we’re just so happy that someone recommended Hana to us! We walked in less than an hour before closing and our server, Eddie, gave the best service and great recommendations! The Maki Combo B is such a deal, 3 simple rolls and 2 soups for $19, like what?! We will definitely be back!
